Milazzo is a 1000% better defensively and his framing is on point. The ump was better as well.

I do.

Floyd gets one of the 3 strike 3 calls in the 6th before the wheels flew off and that's a different game.

The umpire last night was horrible. Tonight the umpire was excellent. Millazo is a better catcher than Travinski but neither are doing anything offensively right now. Generally Travinski is a better batter but he hasn’t done much lately. Maybe playing Millazo was a wake up call to Travinski.

What about all the strikes given by the ump to Floyd leading up to that inning that were balls? What happens when you erase all of those

Millazo catches balls whether they're strikes or not. Travinsky doesn't catch all strikes.

Millazo absolutely framed a couple tonight, and Travinsky doesn't share that skill set.

Travinsky can knock the shite outta the ball, but at least in the beginning, nobody was hitting it out, so I think it was smart to start Millazo. I was hoping he would DH, but Beloso got 3 hits so I'll let JJ coach.

It makes a difference to fans watching the game. It absolutely means nothing for an ump lol

Except in MLB when analytics came to be, they found some catchers get more strikes called and therefore got huge contracts because of it. Just ask Yadier Molena

Not true at all. Watched A ton of Atlanta braves catchers absolutely steal strikes over the years in person. It’s a craft for a catcher

To say that framing pitches doesn’t matter to an Ump is just insane and not even close to accurate. Receiving a ball at catcher is one of the major teaching points for playing the position.

Go talk to any catcher, or coach. Or, just do some research. Ump was shite last night but Hayden, as much as I love him, was chasing pitches out of the zone with his glove all night and that 100% factored into some of those calls.

Milazzo is a much better catcher than Travinski; he should start.
