I know starting pitching was bad but 10 SB in 3 games? I didn’t get to watch all the innings this weekend was it more stealing on the pitchers or catchers or both?

Mostly pitchers. I know its not cool to say, but I actually think Notre Dame will be a decent team after watching them. If they get a couple arms to workout for them on the mound, they could make a little noise in the ACC. They have 3 or 4 real quality bats. Their catcher was legit defensively, as was their shortstop, and obviously their right fielder is a beast.

They looked like a good team, particularly on defense.

You obviously didn't watch the games. Jordan gave up 4 stolen bases and at least 4 passed balls on Friday.

yes, the people that said catchers are wrong. by the time they received the pitch the base was stolen. I am not defending our catching this weekend because I thought the results were indeed poor. I guess we were spoiled with pap behind the plate. but Dunn better get off his arse and start fricking teaching these pitchers. Hess was awful; there was no chance to throw out ANY of the Irish base stealers.

as for Notre Dame, I don't think it was because we were so bad but they looked legit in several areas. I wasn't overly impressed with their pitching, although they didn't walk a bunch of guys, but their defense was far superior to ours (they made zero errors) and they have some quality bats. for the most part, our pitchers put us in terrible spots and kept pitching from behind in the count. i'm saying that maybe the Irish are not as good as looked but we were that bad.

it's very early but when you can't throw strikes you are going to look bad. the strike zone was weird but it was for them too. when you get behind in the count, good hitters are going to kill you and that's what happened.

by the way, the ACC is a damn good baseball conference.

Yep, 10 stolen bases. Their shortstop, Dailey, had 4 by himself.

The lefty throwing 83 mph Friday night couldn’t pitch in the Sunbelt.

Unfortunately when you can’t throw strikes you tend to focus more on the batter and less on base runners. Couple that with inexperience behind the plate and you see the result.

Hess and his delivery is a big part of the problem.

Big deal. LSU will be a national seed by the end of the season. Learn your history fricktards.

maybe, but I wouldn't bet a lot of money on this. we will improve on defense and hitting but you have to have some damn good starting pitching to be a national seed. I am awaiting this quality pitching.

Too lazy to look up but I wonder when an LSU staff gave up 27 runs in a weekend series.
