Did Little Bosa cost himself by sitting out an entire season? Did Ed Oliver cost himself by feigning an injury?

hopefully, really let team down by not playing, luckily they had a talent disparity large enough to overcome it.

Anyone who thinks a kid that goes by the nickname “GREEDY” isn’t going to do everything he can to get to the big bucks, is in denial.

That name was given to him as a kid by his grandmother if I remember correctly.

The sad part is this is the way the majority of LSU fan base feel. Nothing but hate. Sure hope very few recruits and family members use this site.

It's not hate, but when you sign up for a team sport, you play as a team. You win as a team and you lose as a team. Like in life you won't always win, but all everyone asks is that everyone is doing their part and if your best isn't good enough, that is understandable. But when 90% give it their all and the other part bails on the team, that is screwed up.

This is the reason we play sports so people learn valuable lessons that will be needed in life. I promise you, the fact that he didn't play in the bowl game was noticed. Was it enough for someone to pass on him, maybe not. But make no mistake about it, there are teams that know that when it comes to players than are going to hold out for personal reasons and not for the better of the team, he's probably more likely than others.

He burns a 4.3 with his hip action and length, he will be a top 10 pick. He needs another 5-10 lbs on his frame though.

No, bowl game factors very little in draft position

I know people should HONOR their contracts. Employees should not seek employment while employed, coaches should not look at other jobs, players should not discuss moving. They are a TEAM and that should be their ONLY focus.

that very rarely happens. It is possible and has happened to a handful of the thousands upon thousands of the draft eligible players that played in bowls over the years. But it is a long shot of happening. Better question, why not just take the whole year off or the last half the year. He had established himself as an early draft pick long ago way back at the beginning of the season if not before.

It's this exact reason that the NFL will start punishing players for not playing. This is an unpopular take - but here's what I feel the truth is:

Greedy had a great season in 17' and, combined with his name became a great segment in the media.

Greedy did not have that great of a year in 18', and sat out that bowl game to save his draft position from more film of him getting exposed just as much as he did to save position from getting injured.

Before the bowl game - several draft experts stated that Greedy was over hyped and over rated.

The NFL will absolutely make changes. The Bosa guy from Ohio state sat out this whole year. If he ends up not making it in the NFL you can guarantee that the NFL will start penalizing players for sitting. Bosa didn't just avoid injury, he avoided getting exposed.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that Greedy does not participate in the combine and waits until LSU pro day.

Really doesn't matter at this point. The combine and pro days will set the big board.

Also, McShay isn't drafting. Teams' Big Boards are all different anyway. He will be the 1st corner off the board.
