Bryce wasn’t seriously injured his senior year and was a more polished passer. He’s also the exception, not the rule.

Our season this year was never going to be great, let’s not ruin our stud QB by rushing him along.

Bryce was also rated as the #1 QB and #2 overall prospect. His ranking was inside the Top 20 of all time recruits. It’s not a slight to Walker to say he was not regarded as highly as Bryce Young. Few QBs were.

I just don’t get how 5* Bryce Young can start but our 5* cant

Bryce Young didn't start as a true freshman either

Neither did Tua and they had some bad games with Hurts at QB

Neither did Johnny Manziel

Neither did CJ Stroud

Howard is not the best player RIGHT NOW. He 100% has the potential to be, but Daniels is the best player for right now. With the running game and OL problems, there is no upside to playing Howard right now.

Stop speaking facts and let them live in fantasy land where our backup and backup’s backup are the best options now.

Please ignore our busted oline, Howard has to learn how to properly be sacked,
Right?

Howard will not win the Heisman as a redshirt freshman. I think he could be a good QB, but come on.

To be fair Young only won because he plays at bama. He is by almost all measures the worst heisman in recent history. There just wasn’t anyone that stood out. Daronte Jones exposed him to the world

It wasn’t between Kelly and Jamie it was Jamie telling whoever the coach ended up being his son was going to take a redshirt which shows so much maturity in that kid to know he will be better off watching and getting comfortable for a year versus kids that come in and want to transfer if they don’t play immediately. No doubt he’s the day 1 starter next year no matter what happens barring injury god forbid. He’s the best we have right now but I support him wanting to learn first before leading the team.

Why would we play Walker now? Seriously? He’s a freshman, the team is really bad (especially the O-line). Give him a year to learn the system and get better guys around him. Patience my friend

I am constantly amazed that people think these coaches talk to anyone's parents about their son's performance or playing time. Embarrasing

Nuss tried to force it against a garbage team in a game that was well over.
When you aren't the Starter, you press and force things when there's a playing opportunity.

Realistically, Nussmeier needs an entire game to calm down and lose the jitters.

Give him a full 4 quarters to settle in and you'll see a different QB.
