Did anyone watch Florida's backup QB vs UK?

I did not, but apparently Trask got the job done. Was looking forward to beating up on FF. Hopefully, Trask is not an upgrade, but wondering how he played.

He definitely sparked the team but idk if how he played is sustainable. I sure as hell ain't scared of him out gunning Burrow.

I watched a little of the replay yesterday. He did well, but Kentucky’s defense is horrendous so it almost looked like he was running practice drills. I think with tight coverage and some pressure his inexperience will show.

I suppose he did, considering they scored somethign like 20 straight points when franks went out. Granted franks is trash so not sure how big a deal that is.
I was watching the game and I think it was immediately noticeable to anyone else watching that somehow, inexplicably for seemingly no reason, when trask came in UK played what seemed like a prevent defense. You've got an inexperienced backup coming in cold, logic would dictate you pressure the hell out of him and confuse him. UK had their CBs playign damn near 15 yards off the LOS, Trask was just throwing little 10 yard curls every drive and movign the chains.
Yet to be seen if he's an upgrade, although again franks is pretty bad, but I dont' think the UK game is much of an indicator.

I'm not worried about Trask. UF pass rush and running game are the concerns at top of my list if I was an LSU coach.
Mullen knows a 1000 and 1 ways to get the edge.

He looked solid, but he was playing against a very depleted UK secondary that was gassed at the end of the game and not ready for the changes in play calling for the new QB.
Essentially, it was the perfect storm for Trask to succeed. I am interested to see how he does this week and next.

What about when they play LSU, though?

Trask entered the game at the beginning of the 4th quarter.
He was 9 of 13 for 126 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT. And 1 rush for 4 yards. As Florida scored 19 unanswered points.

He's a complete opposite of Franks so Ky's game plan was not effective once he came in. When a team has a week to force him into his weaknesses, he won't be able to perform at the same level.
He's a 5th yr senior with no playing time... a scrub. He will look like a scrub going forward.

How? We can’t pressure QBs.

So, Trask is not a runner like Franks? If that's the case, I'll rest easy.

He beat Kentucky. You impressed?

This was exactly my thought. Kentucky was completely unprepared for Trask's style of play. Given time to prepare, we will be fine.

That is one pale white boy!!

KY's QB was a turnover machine in the fourth quarter.

Don't go by that. The Trask kid may be good but Kentucky didn't prepare for Trask they prepared for Franks. See what the Gaytors do this week or just how Trask preforms.

This is my thought as well.
He was also not recruited by any of P5 school, much less any SEC school, so I’m honestly not sure what the hell he’s doing at Florida to be honest.
Losing McElwain was a big hit for all of us
He’s also not the type of QB Mullen has had success with in the past, so looks like O is fixin to get his first win over him in this one

I never thought I would say this, but I’m not afraid of anyone out gunning Burrow.

How bad was Frank's injury?
