pathetic showing. worst since 2001. ZERO EXCUSE.
i kept my streak alive. never missed 1 yet
OUR FANS were trying to make a profit instead of getting at cost+ a touch...
It wasn't the ones that wanted to go...I wasn't driving to ATL empty handed

At least we had an excuse in 2001. What was the excuse on Saturday?
Posted on 12/9/19 at 6:22 pm to The Egg
Yup and already bought them for OU

LSU send 25,000 fans to Omaha for a week. Why not send 25,000 to Atlanta to see the number 1 team with a heisman winner that has a great great shot at winning the national title.

true. we did not secure winning the west until last game. auburn at home. i had gotten my tickets through LSU last minute. only 7k of us there in whole stadium.

IDk but you fn nailed it with your prediction. my apologies. i thought you were nuts saying it would be 80-20. shite, it was worse.
maybe people held out for playoffs. all i can think of. honestly there was LOTS of empty seats.
i try to at least make atlanta. love going. i have made all 3 nattys in NOLA also but i never bought futures tickets ahead of time like i did before in 2007( got tix through LSU other years) and this crap being on a school and work night is out the question nowadays where it was not an issue before. woulda liked to make natty but oh well.
need to move natty game to a damn weekend then i could make it. monday is crap. also i am sure tickets will be easily 1k a piece on futures market now 500 or more to acquire and like 485 face. many will just be priced out. seccg more affordable ticket wise.

I didn't save my money, and will make the trip BACK to Atlanta for the playoff.

This x 1000. Our fans will travel en mass to the CWS in Omaha when we're not even playing, but they can't be bothered to make the trip to Atlanta to support the #1 ranked team in the whole freaking world of college football and its Heisman Trophy winning QB.
It makes so sense to me. Long gone are the days of "we don't travel, we take over." Now it's more like "we don't travel, and we'll sell you our tickets." How do you think the team felt walking out onto the MB Stadium field and being surrounded by nothing but screaming fans wearing red and black? We might as well move the damn SECCG to Athens, because I don't think we'd travel any worse.
OU will travel well. I expect a 60/40 split in favor of the Sooners, with lots of red mixed into the LSU sections, just like on Saturday night. If it happens, I hope to God that someone in the media says something about our pathetic fan showing.

I agreed. I was in ATL for the SEC, first, LSU sent me crappy fix in section 300 nose bleed and 80% were UGA fans. I'm skipping the Peach Bowl and nasty ATL and selling my tix for a hotel in NOLA with or without tickets. ??

I’m going to Atlanta twice, drove this past weekend with wife, used points for free room for 2 nights at Hyatt regency downtown... f driving again, flying back with my 7 y/o son for playoff and staying again at hyatt regency free on points for 2 nights. Not going to take anything for granted and want to see as many games as I can with this team.

Probably about 50/50 if we’re lucky. LSU fans really don’t travel well anymore. It’s frustrating to see. We will be lucky to not be outnumbered in New Orleans by Clemson or Ohio St.

This was inexcusable. LSU season ticket holder selling their tickets to UGA fans. Our section was about 20% Dawg fans. Pathetic.

There will be 6 in my group there, Geaux Tigers!!!!!

I think that OU fans will probably outnumber us, and that's so sad. We might as well have played in AZ. It's true that we don't travel well anymore. UGA and Bama fans travel 10X better than LSU fans. The Dawgs sent 40K fans to CA for their semifinal in 2017, and 30K to Notre Dame, not to mention embarrassing us fan-wise in our own stadium. Meanwhile, we sent about 10K to the Fiesta Bowl last year, and maybe that many to the SECCG last weekend.
The thing that pisses me off to no end is that we won't sell tickets to other Tiger fans for face value or a reasonable mark up. Instead we try to price gouge each other to the point where tickets end up in the hands of opposing fans, or not used at all.

Some hotels were close to sold out. Got mine about 2 miles from stadium just off of 85.

You may not want a gump's opinion, but you guys have the semis two states away and the NC in your home state. That is an amazing set up.
Last year I had to fly to Miami and fly to SF. Y'all are in driving distance of both games, and many of you won't need a hotel for the NC. No reason not to show out imo, and I expect y'all to.
Best of luck baws, and enjoy the ride.

You are 100% correct. We could've been shipped way out west to AZ. We got the best possible site in terms of cost and ease of travel. The excuse I'm sick of hearing is that we just played in Atlanta. So what? This is our first CFP semifinal. It would be beyond sad if we don't show up to support the team.

Had to been to every other SECCG sat this one out. Was prepared to go to Zona if needed. Have everything for ATL and will pay to play in NOLA . Merry Christmas to me.
