He HAS TO GO....

As an LSU fan, i'd want him to stay, as a father/dad/brother/sister, i have to tell him, he is SET FOR LIFE, and to see "RANDY LIVINGSTON" in terms of what could happen if he returns

I agree that he has very different goals than Greedy,
so it's definitely possible he comes back.

The Oregon QB is coming back and he is rated as the #6 pick

He's old school and is enjoying the college experience...

Very refreshing...

I think he stays also, a different breed of player right there, I absolutely love his character. A true leader if there was ever one.

Kevin Faulk wasn’t a top 10 pick his junior year and if he was he fricked himawlf out of some money.

I want White To come back. He can’t really better his draft stock, but if his personal goals are win a championship in college than he has to measure that vs the money.

So is the potential to play Linebacker for the Arizona Cardinals or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Take out an insurance policy, stay in school. I don't know. I guess it's very, very hard to turn down that kind of money. Whatever he does, he will always be remembered as a great Tiger who set, and led by, the example.

Yep.

Whatever he decides will be the correct decision.

I’m conflicted about the injury aspect.
He could blow out his knees in training camp.
Also staying next year could make him Superman in Louisiana forever.

Just a thought.

I hope he stays because he’s a great athlete and a great person

If I were in his shoes though I would definitely leave. He is going to make a lot of money in the league and the risk of career ending injury over an entire season is a lot higher than just one bowl game against an American conference opponent

I may be wrong on this but I believe I heard during the broadcast that Devin did not submit an evaluation from the NFL. Not sure if there is a deadline on that.

Also, does anyone know who all got evaluations?

I honestly think he’s staying. He made a comment when talking about greedy’s decision to sit out about they play the game for different reasons. It’s clear he plays the game because he absolutely loves it. He loves LSU football and It would not shock me if he returned.

Why is this an either/or decision?

Why not both?

frick off

I was recently asked to provide a link where a poster wanted a player to leave early.

Being lazy I had no desire to go back and find some examples ..... well I didn’t have to wait too long did I?

You people that pump this leave narrative are the fricking worst.

Would love for him to come back. Would respect him for getting a degree. But it'd be foolish to return. He's a top 10, maybe a top 5 pick.

He's getting his degree either way...graduates in May. Early enrollee, plus summer and winter classes, he's graduating a full year early.

He knows what he can be, and he knows what is at stake to come back...but it wouldn't surprise me if he did. Also wouldn't surprise me if he goes pro, and you can't blame him either way.

ETA: I've seen like 6 people make a comment about him wanting to come back for a degree in this thread alone.

He should go Pro, no reason to waste valuable time playing in college when he can be a starting MLB for a NFL team in 2019. He is projected to go in the top-10, maybe even higher in some mocks. So what is left to prove?

Maybe I'm just wearing my P&G glasses, but I think he's coming back.

Legacy means something to that guy, and there will be no doubt left in anyone's mind that he's the greatest LB and possibly greatest Tiger football player of all time.

He will be a legend.

You can't buy that, no matter how many tens of millions you have.

They have until January 15th to submit one, I believe.

If you are talking about evaluations from the NFL Draft Advisory Board, it is only those underclassmen that declare early that get these and right now, LSU only has two, Ed Alexander and Greedy Williams.

I think Devin White was waiting for the year to end before declaring.

I do think he's given thought to returning but with his projections I think it's probably in his best interest to go and I think O tells him the same thing.
If he does want to stay, our LB's will be loaded.

If not, Phillips was really good this year and Queen is ready to make the leap next year.
Improvement from Baskerville would give us three solid guys at LB if somehow Taylor returns that would be another really good player in the mix.
