Can't blame White or Williams if they go and O will probably encourage them to go with top 5 projections they are getting.
Honestly, I think White had a better year last year. But defenses are keying on him more and that's why Phillips has looked so good this year.
Phillips would have been the difference in the Fla game had he not missed it because of injury.

zero percent chance. If you really cared about him, you'd beg him to go. Life changing money for him and his family (and that's with only the signing bonus). Can't risk all of that with another year in college.

Well if he were at Bama the bagman would pay for a hefty insurance policy allowing him to stay but at Lsu one should probably just go pro. Not to mention at Bama he could smoke dope without repurcussions if he so inclined. And could carry a stolen weapon too. Lsu is too hard !

I remember when Beckwith came back and the excitement it was for the program but then felt bad when he had that injury.

But once the predraft process starts and he finds out how early he would be picked, how much money he could make, etc then he will definitely go.

I mean he could always go back to school and finish his degree.

Stingley just said he won’t be 7 next year, but 24 ..

I would guess that even if Devin leaves, Delpit would get #7.

I would love it if he stayed, but I agree that the $ will pull him away.

I don’t think he’s trolling, he probably legitimately thinks he’s returning. But once the predraft process starts and he finds out how early he would be picked, how much money he could make, etc then he will definitely go.

I'd find it hard to believe that he is unaware of where he would be picked

Everyone that follows football at all knows he's a top 10 pick and either the first or second LB off the board

To think that he is unaware of this would be silly

Pure linebackers are rarely top 15 picks, much less top 10.
There’s the caveat to that and it concerns outside linebackers that are 6’5 and 250 lbs that can rush the passer against a right or left tackle but Devin isn’t that type of guy.

He probably projects to be a Patrick Willis type backer in the NFL

That is absolutely worth a top 15 pick

I have no problems with projected first rounders leaving early. In fact I’d encourage it if they can’t get draft insurance. It’s the projected 3+ rounders that leave early that are killing us.
