Devin White at RB: the hypocrisy of the rant summed up perfectly

Last November a poster suggested Devin White getting goal line carries and it has 13 upvotes vs 96 downvotes and was widely shite on as a terrible idea that was only suggested by morons and would never happen.

Today there is a post that White is campaigning for goal line carries and it has 52 upvotes vs 2 downvotes.

So when posters suggested a perfectly logical idea last year it was worthy of scorn. Now suddenly that it might be a legit possibility, it’s a great idea and a poster who was against it felt the need to apologize. (First reply)

Last year, we had proven backs in Darrius Guice and Darrell Williams. That is no longer the case. We have a stable of unproven backs this year, so the idea of giving White some carries seems less crazy and more like it might be necessary.

If it weren’t for LF and Guice signing, White would’ve been an all American RB here. He’s a natural elite linebacker and running back. Just showed up at a time where we needed LBers and not a running back. He will def have a rushing TD this season.

TBH it's selfish from fans to want to put him back there and beat him up, I get he wants to help the team, but it's not going to help the team if someone hits him low because he's massive and tears an ACL. No need to ruin his promising career doing something stupid like that.

Traditional running backs on goaline is absolutely tarded. Except for Fournette I guess Get the biggest badass mofo you can to gain 1-2 yards or even fricking inches in some cases. The bears did it with the fridge. It works if you have common sense. But that’s not to common now a days.

I don't get why White possibly running the football would surprise anyone. He's a great athlete with size and speed who to used to run the ball in high school. Protecting the football at this level would be the only issue.
