I’m thinking because he’s pitched 3 times
31, 36 & 17
Not a lot but can’t take any chances, he’s way too important

Yea no ones arguing that. Just surprised Beck and Hess aren’t getting the same treatment

So he'll be on full rest for at least 2 appearances next weekend

That might be it. Probably PM only wants Hess for relief for one game in the regional

I don’t think we see Beck
He threw 70 Wednesday night
Haven’t seen anything mentioned about him either way

But Hess threw 60 & James Moran is saying he’s a possibility

Moran tweeted this info 2 hours before you posted, what do you mean it'll come out soon enough?

No I know. What I was saying is the “won’t pitch the rest of the week” thing. We might not see Beck if we make it to tomorrow but my point is PM hasn’t made it public that he is holding Beck our for the rest of the week like he did with Peterson

Beck threw 11 pitches on Tuesday night so he's made 2 appearances. He's not pitching today. He'd probably throw an inning on Sunday since that would be 3 days off.

There's a big difference in making 1 appearance and 3 appearances for the guy asking why Hess isn't getting the Peterson treatment.

I feel like y’all are misunderstanding me. I just meant if we are trying to save pitchers for the regional it was odd that Peterson was the only one publicly stated

We're not saving pitchers for the regional. They have a week off. We're trying to not blow arms out. Peterson's pitched 3 times this week which means he's done.

He needs to be on a strict pitch count and I wouldn’t even pitch Hess. This game means nothing. We need everyone rested more than normal for next weekend and hopefully beyond

Fontenot
Walker
Beck
Hess

@SmartestMoran

Well Devin Fontenot is starting.

Will Ripoll, Riggs Threadgill and Rye Gunter haven't pitched.

We think Zack Hess could pitch
an inning or two. Maybe Matt Beck? Paul was pretty adamant that Todd Peterson won't

James Moran

Some good news for #LSU: Both Chris Reid (leg) and Cade Beloso (wrist) are back in the lineup today.

Brandt Broussard (elbow) is not. Hal Hughes fills in at second base

When asked if Broussard would be back for regionals

Not sure at this point. Paul Mainieri only said he didn’t feel right when throwing last night
