I'm guessing Coach O already has someone lined up to take over at OC. Apparently, Mike D. felt comfortable saying that before the early signing period, so my guess is that the commitments have already been told privately.

Given how fast the OL Coach hire was made, if this is true, I expect the next OC hire to be announced within minutes of Canada being gone

This is actually the third week in a row he said it just like that. No! And I believe him, kinda. Only thing that has me doubting the move is during the season, Mike was asked every week "Will Miles Brennan get in the game this week" and every time he answered Yes!...the same way he answered the Canada question today. And it never happened.

Yeah, it does seem odd that Mike D. would express an opinion like that before the early signing period. It could be that Coach O already has the replacement lined up, and maybe the commitments already know who it will be.

Well, it seemed to me that all the talk about "Canada wanting out" had died down lately. I really had become convinced that he would be here at least through 2018. It does seem now to me that Canada has found another position. I'm just kind of surprised, since he makes $1.5 million a year here. Not sure where else in college right now he can make that.
