Ok, now explain yesterday's story about firing a gun then running from police.

Different incident.
Maybe the pressure of the first incident drove him to being irrational and feeling hopeless. All his hard work to get to the NFL and his dreams were shattered. It is ALWAYS possible that there's a different story until proved otherwise.
Did you listen to the attorney interview linked above?

You honestly think he’s getting railroaded because he’s a black kid? My god.

Go to Facebook and YouTube and look up his mother Kandace Faye Washington
12.19.24. She posted a video of him getting his degree. He told her he loved her forever. There seem to be onions in my living room.
No one will ever convince me that KL was a bad kid. His dad was a coach/fitness trainer and I know his mom was a spiritual leader with her church. Her profile says she's an artist.
Now to YouTube. There's a video of her talking about KL. She's very well spoken and not anything like other athlete's mothers (see Big Baby's Mom). There is an ocean of difference.

He was trying to do the suicide attempt at his mom's house in Houston. Mom & siblings tried to intervene to stop him. Kyren had no desire to listen to anyone. He had his mind made up. Cops were originally called about the suicide attempt. That's where the warning shot & taking the car came in.

Has Kelly made any comment? I know the school has but he was one of his players

More details clear a lot of things up. Sounds like he was hell bent and determined to end things.

I will say this. The media is after ONE thing and it is not the truth. It is ratings - in other words - money.
This type of media started in the late 70's and 80's when 60 minutes started making CBS a lot of money. Every media started sensationalizing their programs to - make money - not just to report the news.
And then in the 2000's came the worst of the worst - SOCIAL MEDIA - where every person with an internet connection thinks they are a STAR.
You say he was targeted because he was black. I don't believe that, but him being a star LSU player with money didn't help him.
I'm sure that all played a part of what happened this weekend, especially knowing that even though his attorney thinks the Grand Jury verdict would have been favorable, I'm sure he heard a million times how Grand Jury's indict a "Ham Sandwich".

The entire situation sucks…
Still not a kid, even if you considered yourself a kid at that age.
I, and many others were earning a living at 18. Im 38. Our grandparents and their parents were starting families and working at 18.
When did our culture start considering mid 20s a kid? People all over the world including here start working at 18. We are tasked with making wise irreversible choices.
Just because someone chooses to go to college or is slow to mature doesn’t make them a kid. Too many have subscribed to this YOLO mentality. All of our ancestors would be ashamed.
Sorry for all involved.

I guess I was blessed. Dad made all of us go to college. Changed majors a bunch and got into a head on collision when I was 23. Had to go to school part time and didn't graduate until 24.
Sorry but I was still a college kid at that age and never really worked much until after graduation. Dad wanted us to focus on school.
Kudos to you and others who started work young.

Sometimes a DA goes with a GJ when a case is high profile or there’s pressure to charge and the DA may know the case isn’t as strong as the public thinks.
The DA chose the GJ for Dr Anna’s Pou’s case after Katrina. The public was convinced of her guilt. The GJ failed to indict.
If you watch the interview with Kyren’s attorney that I posted earlier today, Kyren’s attorney talked about how fair the DA is and how quickly the GJ was called in addition to a lot of info the public was not aware of. I don’t think he was bluffing. His client is dead and he’s still on a mission to prove his innocence. He probably can’t reveal much now to prevent jeopardizing the civil suit assuming he’s right.

Sounds like it. I hope to do the same for my kids.
The message to my kids will be that they better tighten up, because you don’t always get do-overs. Our modern culture encourages the opposite.
I went back to college and got a degree, but was only able to attend at night after work. We didn’t have much money growing up, and I didn’t get to party my 20s away like a lot of my friends.

Have another downvote lady you need to go and take lap.
You are in here showing your whole arse over this, when the fact is you don’t know anything about what has actually transpired with any certainty. There will be propaganda for days coming out of that camp and if you want to parrot it then do it, but don’t come in here talking stupid shite. Keep it up and I hope they ban you.

You don't know what happened with any certainty.
What I do know is:
1. that the media blasted his mugshot in orange jumpsuit all over.
2. that the Lafourche Parish DA had yet to accept charges against Lacy.
3. two families are forever changed.
4. there is more to this story and the truth will come out.
5. that people have been assholes to KL's dad saying he was a murderer.
6. that I have a lot of contacts and inside info about the hijack portion of this thread and about the circumstances of the KL case.
I would bet I know more than you do.
Thanks for the downvote.

The downvote is for your insinuating that any unflattering views of Kyren Lacy are based in racism.
And as far as what is being said on Facebook, why not go and take it on there for frick sake? You can’t do it anonymously of course but maybe it is your hill to take and hold.
