Maybe this establishment had a bad experience with extremely obnoxious LSU fans in the past.

Disregarding the restaurant's part in this, how freaking pussy-assed can this group be? I've always considered half the fun of going to an outside establishment to watch a game, the prospect that there will be opposing fans to razz while doing so.

So lame.

The people defending this are crazy. The business can do this if they want to but dont act like this is normal behavior. Should Louisiana restaurants start banning fans of all other sec teams on game day? Have you ever heard of any place doing this before? It is a stupid move that makes them look like jerks.

I'm reading the negative yelp reviews and their managers and owner responds to them all. It's very pathetic and unprofessional to debate with people on yelp instead of having them call them to correct mistakes.

Sounds like the manager corroborated the story.

i have to think "what a maroon" about this manager....we've had gumps wearing their colors at Legends for the Alabama game...and we treated them with civility...

True. The number that do not appreciate irony is probably its equal.

I've always found that to be the BIGGEST turn off ever (and also a really big red flag) for an establishment, to see a manager who feels like he has to give a response to every single criticism, no matter how tiny it is, on an online review site.

If this was true, all they needed was a sign on the door stating "establishment was closed for a private party" etc. Sorry he's such a poor manager.

Living in this area, I am not surprised by this at all about Harry T's. I avoid them no matter what considering there are so many other choices with way better atmospheres. I see you left a review on Trip Advisor.

We will never go to this restaurant again after such terrible behavior and will spread the word far and wide.

Daniel E, Public Relations Manager at Harry T's, responded to this review, yesterday

The story is indeed terrible....if true. You were informed the Emerald Coast Gator Club have reserved the entire restaurant for a watch party, about 150 Gators have RESERVED the entire restaurant for their home games to watch as a club, this was a reservation, and their only request.......NO COMPETING SCHOOLS ALLOWED IN THE RESTAURANT DURING THEIR GAMES. We fulfill that request . I am personally a Seminole, but I realize when they donated over $31,000 in scholarships from these watch parties, I understand. Sorry you cannot understand that.

Report response as inappropriate

Regardless, the way they turned you down seemed inconsiderate and definitely could have been handled more professionally.

Doesn't say he's a graduate. Only that he attended and then tried to become a cop and then somehow ended up a bar manager. He has quite the story to tell I'm sure.

It's a bar and a less than sophisticated response. Is this really a shock? His letter will open him up for all kinds of flack.

Only logical thing to do is have a group of black/gay LSU fans go there and try to get a table. If they seat them they are hypocrites, if they don't they are bigots.
