From a comment on a Destin paper's site:

They defended this situation by saying Nick Empson was an "overzealous manager in training". But many have pointed out it was the owner Daniel Empson's son.

Why don't they just come out apologize and fall on the sword for handling the situation so poorly. Every statement they release kind of does this but then goes on to make excuses and try to explain it away.
They should just take a quick bite of the shite sandwich this would be blown over by Monday.

They are sincerely apologizing repeatedly on their Facebook page now. They have learned a valuable lesson here and I think Tiger nation did its job here. I'm ready to move on and put it in the past. I will give them an opportunity to win my business again in the future.

The truth is that almost all of the people posting on social media about this are not in Destin and won't be going there any time soon. These folks will be ok.

True but the word will spread to those that go to Destin. I know a lot of Louisianians that love to RV and go to Destin during the summers. Most of these places survive on summer tourist dollars. If they thought they would be ok, they would not be trying to salvage the situation so hard.
