This Makes zero sense.

If he is upset with how he has been utilized, he should double down and work his arse off this offseason, show up in the spring in the best shape of his life and leave no doubt with the coaches. Rinse, repeat this summer/fall camp.

Running to McNeese where no one watches you and potentially better stats does nothing. The stats will be disbelieved by scouts saying "well he couldn't do that in the sec" and drastically discounting the numbers. At this point, both he and Quinn need to come to Jesus and realize that nothing in life is given. You have to work for it and take it.

so youre saying lsu struck out on every TE on the roster sice the 2008 season?

You guys are full of shite. He's fourth string at best. THAT's the problem. Foster Moreau beat him out. The guy's just not as good as was thought.

Every time you guys pick an underutilized guy to champion you get proved wrong by the NFL.

Hard to utilize a TE if your QB can't make the throws. The best tight ends can also run block, can he block?

As much as I hate to lose a talent like smith and Quinn, they both have been wasted here. Have to believe he would be better used at Mcneese which is sad. Smith has the ability but needs the CONSISTENT OPPORTUNITIES to show his talent and contribute to the team. Lot of wasted talent.

How we continue to get blue chip TEs and WRs is a mystery to me. We've had one good year throwing the ball since 2007.

Can't blame him. It was probably a mistake for him to come here to begin with. Miles won't use a receiving style tight end because what did TE's do in 1975? They blocked and served as additional lineman. If you're a TE at LSU, you won't play unless your primary skill is blocking. End of story.

Expect the same fate for Jacory Washington's LSU tenure. Elite talents at TE and Miles pisses it away with his archaic offense.

Our top two TE have more receptions and yards than McNeese.

McNeese just lost their coach to ULM. If I'm not mistaken Janzen Jackson's step dad is now the coach.

I was thinking the same thing. Our passing attack has been the worst in the nation since 2007 sans one year. Yet, we still continue to pull crazy good receiver and tight end classes. I heard someone say that our receivers are good in the NFL because they are used to catching balls in heavy traffic. It would be funny if it didn't ring true to an extent.

Nonsense. This guy has legit talent. He didn't play because Miles wants hard core blockers instead of legit pass catching TEs. Sorry but he is not that type of guy and he was never that type of guy in high school.

We don't utilize our talent at TE to the fullest.

I think he was told we would utilize the TE's in the passing game more and we haven't. I understand his frustration, but trust me when I say most WR's and TE's coming out of LSU are so good and usually don't have big stats, but become great players at the next level. They are still getting an excellent football education and prep. for the NFL...

Kid should be on the field wayyyyy more than he was this year.

It honestly baffles the hell out of me why any TE would ever sign with LSU under Miles. He wastes more offensive talent than anyone I've ever seen.

We were #6 in scoring offense in the SEC this year. Keep up with the hyperbole.

Did you read the OP? According to him all he wants to do is at least get a chance to play and finish out a great senior season. NFL is probably 3rd on his mind now thanks to being underutilized.

You can fool a guy once, and he's been fooled twice with sweet talk of getting the TEs more passes.

They designed to get him 4 passes thrown to him in the Notre Dame game last year.

Lie. Moreau looked meh at best this year. Of course he is only a true freshman, but he got in because of his blocking skills, nothing else.

Smith is a pass catching TE who should be used like a pass catching TE.

Don't keep grabbing these receiving TEs, who were obviously receiving TEs in high school, if you're not going to use them that way.
