CHICKEN! u have no problem with USC being ranked first in the teams of the decade???? THEY WON 1 I REPEAT 1 NC!!! If the true mark of success is NC's then LSU and Fla. are it. Sorry SC the AP does not crown NC the BCS was agreed by ALL BEFORE THE SEASON to crown the national champs.

I call you an idiot for having USC #5. You choose UT 4 because they beat UT, but ignore the whipping USC put on Oklahoma.

Also, look at LSU's BCS bowl wins:

Illinois (USC also blew out Illinois)
Oklahoma (USC also beat them in a bowl game - another blowout)
ND - (USC pretty much blows them out every year)
Ohio State - (USC blew them out as well and has whipped Michigan 2x, Iowa 1x and Penn St. 1x).

The two crystal balls for LSU is impressive, but don't act like LSU is facing better competition in their bowl games.

facing better competition in their bowl games, get your head out of youre arse, that wasnt mentioned lol , i said conference for the condoms, therefore its their downfall to constantly play the winner of the big nothing conference as well, annually, poor choice by those 2 conferences IMO, of course thats doesnt mean anything to anybody,

lol, Hmmm well in the decade which this was attached to, Univ. of Texas beat the condoms , who were the supposedly best team on earth, so they each have 1 Crystal ball < Texas gets the nod over the busted condoms, anyhow, i dont mind being a idiot in your mind, you certainly dont hold a candle with actual light in your opinion either , anyhow, sux the condoms all you'd like im entitled to think way i do , good day )

In your original post, you said:

and constantly playing a lousy BIG 10 conference in bowls

In other words, you did bring up their bowl schedule as an argument for their low ranking. Can you not read your own typing?

Its not the ONLY mark of success. and like it or not the AP title is still reconized by all, including the NCAA and ah hem, LSU (see 2007 AP Championship trophy)

If you go by total wins and bowl wins, the ones that count...No way OU is ahead of LSU!

OU has lost 5 BCS bowl games in a row

So winning 77-3 Against Baylor or A and M in the Big 12 is not that impressive if you get whacked by WVU in the Fiesta bowl.

does anybody remember the first half of this decade?

florida should not be #1 based on the overall decade. i would say that usc, choklahoma, texas, ohio state, florida and lsu are the top 6. consistency.

despite who they play these teams consistently win and play in important games at the end of the season.

i don't think it's fair to say that any of these teams are better than others, but from the start of the decade until now these teams have consistently won an average of 10 games.

if i had to rank them i would say

1. USC (i hate them, but those f'ers win a lot)
2. Oklahoma (first to lose 3, but they've been)
3. LSU (first to win 2)
4. Florida (nice late push, prob can win a 3rd)
5. Ohio State (dominated the big pretend)
6. Texas (they win 10 games a year)

I don't think there are many others that can even touch these teams so i would keep it at that.

if the big 10, pac 10 or big 12 was competetive at all, this list would be much different.

I can't believe what kind of SC fan you are! You should support your conference. I have lived in the Northwest most of my life and I know what football is. The pac 10 isnt the SEC but they are better than what most people give them credit for. Oregon State didn't just get lucky last year...look at the history the last few years. The beavers give you guys problems, will again this year too! Their head coach has coached in the NFL, san diego and new orleans. The pac 10 is just behind the Big 12. If the pac 10 could have another dominant team they would be the second best conference. Its sad enough people knock on a conference that schedules more big time non conference games than anyone and plays less division aa teams but to hear a Pac 10 guy knock the conference is sad.

Are you serious? You sound like Pat Forde on espn.....Oklahoma only has to beat Texas and they are in the title game against Florida unless LSU can beat Florida twice this year. Oklahoma will have the worst offensive line they have had this decade and lost two starting wide recievers and you think they actually stand a chance against a Florida team that will have 21 returning starters including backups who now have experience? You mean this same Florida team that showed the world what Big 12 football is all about? Are you really serious? You have had some other good things to say but once you said OU has a chance I had to correct you....LOL!
Put OU in the Pac 10 and they never see the championship light again!

Anyone who says Ohio State is a respectable and more dominant team than SC is crazy. I wish that team would join the Pac 10 or even the ACC. You would never hear about them in all these big bowl games. It wouldn't be a cake walk for them to get there....LOL! I have no respect for the Big 10. Its like the Big 12 except there is no other decent team standing in their way. All these arse whippings (except against Texas...LOL) haven't been proof enough to you that their overrated...just like OU! I would rather have LSU go to a game they deserve and don't get killed in and become a laughingstock then to be invited to a game they don't belong in. I wanted Boise St to play and beat another Big 12 team. LOL....Ohio St. will lose at home to a very inexperienced USC team. USC just doesn't lose non conference games very often.

Texas' defense? They gave up 40 some points...their offense was good and played against USC's worst defense in that 3 year span. It was a good game....but don't give Texas credit for playing defense...the big 12 doesn't play defense anymore.

USC thought they where hosed in 03' so they whined until biased AP voters voted for them. It was understood BY ALL SCHOOLS and AP to vote the BCS championship game winner the NC before the season. This is one of the reasons there is such a push for a playoff. To take the decision making for a NC out of biased people's hands and decide it on the field.

P.S. Buffalo came in second four years in a row in the NFL. How come they are never mentioned as a team of the decade?

So Cal has 1 BCS Championship, 1 BCS LOSS and 1 Consolation Prize NC.

Oklahoma has 1 BCS Championship and 2 BCSCG losses

Texas has 1 BCS Championship and no other attempts

LSU and Florida each have 2 BCS Championships in 2 tries.

With our disappointing season last year (Thanks, Ryan!) I would rank this decade (through 2008) as

1. Florida
2. LSU
3. USC
4. Oklahoma
5. Texas
6. Ohio State

ACtually they have two NC's (03, 04). The BCS agreement is the coaches poll NC. Nothing more.
