I’ll ask again: why would an agent float this around?
If it was done earlier it was so covert no one heard about it so it amounted to nothing. The point of floating fake offers and pumping up fake interest is that it gets heard and spread on its own.
If it was done now, there’s obviously no offer and therefore no leverage.
I’ll buy a reporter making shite up for clicks before I’d believe an agent.
