“The players believed in their heart that this president [Trump] is causing harm to them and their culture,” says another source. “Whether you believe it or not, you can’t go on there.”
Here's a list of all the evidence they have to support that notion:

Last week, during Ed Orgeron’s weekly call-in radio show, a fan buzzed the line asking the coach to wish his younger sister a happy birthday. The caller claimed that the young woman was in attendance at the radio show, held each Saturday in the fall at a Baton Rouge restaurant. The caller seemed serious and authentic. Orgeron scanned the room for the woman.

And then, abruptly, the man on the line revealed himself as a prankster. Using more blunt words, he told Orgeron not to pursue his sister romantically. Orgeron’s face hardened, and, despite the show’s host attempting to move on quickly, the coach stretched back in his chair, smirked and said, “You know, down the bayou, we got a nice little fishing hole for people like that.”
Tee hee

I also love O throwing chairs cussing out staffers over a hype video. He’s trash

People say it was the Fox News interview last year but it was actually our anonymous hero in the radio show who really set the wheels in motion, sealing the fate of coach O. The Kentucky game was a mere formality.

You’ll probably get shite for this but this is the 100% correct take.

The crap about him losing the team seems to be false with the way the players are reacting on Twitter

I agree. These young people (many of color) seem to think everyone and everything must appease their wishes especially when it comes to "social justice".
So, the black players hated O because he was supportive of Donald Trump and didn't bow to the wok mob and participate in their all important march?
Amazing story if true and makes me think much less of the immature players.

Say what you want about O (and there is a lot to say), but this statement shows how pathetic the mindset is of many players today:
quote:
Two things make players quit,” says one source, “all the hitting and the drug-testing.”

Well after reading that article I can eliminate a lot of coaches from contention for the job due to demographics.

Yep. Makes it sound like O (who incidentally is a big John Bell Edward’s supporter) was turned on by the players after simply saying something nice about Trump. Get ready tiger nation for your new “woke” football coach.

Three people privy to the incident spoke to SI, with one source saying: “He said that to the team: ‘They can fire my arse! I’m a grown man. They can come try to get me!’ ”
Just such a big, dumb ape

Why? LSU is the only school in the SEC that routinely dismisses players for drug tests. It’s a legit issue.
Now that’s not Ed’s fault, but it still sucks.

My biggest thing is literally every other coach managed to handle this situation. You can hold on to your beliefs and still support your players

Other than O being a Trump fan and he not marching to the plight of the black man getting murdered for braking the law(Floyd), and hiring shitty offense and defense coordinators, didn't do a bad job imo. Look at what he lost in two seasons on offense and defense plus a starting QB.
Saban knows how to play the game. O could give a shite and for that I'm a fan.

Not Os fault.
He didn’t mishandle shite, he said what biggest part of America believes and thinks.... and it wasn’t even that big of deal what he fricking said... all it takes is for one black to get their fricking feelings hurt and it gets blown up bigger than it really is.
Blacks need to start thinking for themselves and get off the Democrat propaganda plantation.
all the guys are there to play ball.. they all have luxuries and amenities than 95% of the other others students don’t have.
Be happy and thankful instead of playing the victim role.

This has turned into a huge political discussion, most of which has been repeated over & over & over again. What scares me about that article is the comment about Tate being very involved in the coaching search. That means the A.D. will be following instructions from a liberal boss. Hoping Scott is stronger than that..

can tell you what he should have done right here.

Publicly support everything they say
Don’t go on cable news
That’s it. That’s the recipe
Everything they say? That's not even sober.
BLM was founded on a hoax. It's means are violence and its goals satanic. There's is no systemic racism nor some glaring disparity of police brutality toward blacks.
Can anyone on LSU's campus not articulate this?
