re: Defensive coaches are "not happy" about their D's adjustment to the new offense.

My point is that Alleva has enough issues thanks to his bonehead decisions regarding Wade that he has to deal with that, for the most part, and hopefully he leaves the university.

Which are now focused on Alleva. Don't you think?
That is beside the point so back on topic, I'm just taking a wait and see look as far as the offense is concerned.

If Alleva is involved (and implicated by the FBI), he's toast. But it is the big boys who have demanded the passing game - Alleva is middle-management in the football program. If Alleva goes, the next AD will have the same marching orders to relay to Orgeron... "Install a solid passing game!"

Don’t shoot the messenger but one of my friends is a high school coach and was at practice yesterday. He said D looked way ahead of offense , like every other team we’ve had. Wondering if this offense improvement is just a narrative like every other year.

But it appears that the D has its hands full with the quick short passing game.
Sweet Mother of God we may be efficient!

Last year at this time, before the spring game, Orgeron was asking fans to be patient with the offense and not to judge it as a finished product because he knew it wasn't going to look good in said spring game.
Ensminger also said the wrs were the strength of the team. They we're going to be able to go 4 wide. That didn't happen.
So yeah this staff has blown smoke up our asses from day 1.
He might not be doing that here, but I'll have to actually see it in game.

We believe the words of Joe Burrow, Rohan Davey, and Coach Orgeron far more than we believe a dozen random posters who are obsessed with throwing piss balloons at Orgeron's program.
Why are you such a big LSU fan? Why do you act like you actually have an ounce of knowledge of this program and it's history?
Do you even know who Rohan Davey is? Or did you have to Google him?

Fortunately our returning QB is a known quantity and is coming off a very good, not great season.
Where he threw for less TDS than Jordan Jefferson.

Even the best offenses in the country struggle like hell to move the ball on us, especially in the air. Hell even Alabama's best offense ever only put up 29pts on us, and that's with our defense being on the field ALLLL game... So yea, I would expect our defense to be WAAAYYYY ahead of our offense, the only position that should be worse this your is MLB, and that's just a slight drop off. Ever other position should be improved.

You do realize we have like 5 starters out on D right?
Fehoko, Lawerence, Fulton, Chaisson, Philips... maybe some more.
If our offense at 100% struggles against our current healthy D that had to replace a few key players, then the offense narrative isn’t true or yesterday’s practice was a fluke. I’m not being negative really , im pumped for this team and our season to come. But I’m going to be cautiously optimistic about the offense.

Jefferson had an outstanding offensive line and a running game. In each of his three years. I was in the Georgia dome for the SEC champ, game that Jefferson had 3 yards passing. I was in the super dome for JJ outstanding performance in the national championship. Far superior offensive and defensive lines.
At least at this point we have a good possibly very good QB. Plus an NFL understudy passing game guy. Two freshman game changing running backs. How fast can they learn their assignments in the passing game. Routs and blocking Whatever. Keep going down the negative path. It really is helping.

Which is a completely rational way of approaching this offense.
I don't know why people have a problem with it. This coaching staff has created a religious cult, where you must believe without seeing.

Heard we can't guard Giles.

If you would be at all interested. I would like find me some roxys if that's what y'all still get. I've quite given into honoring my uncle's life with some silliness. I just happened to be the one that made the gruesome dixovery.

no he didn't. in 09, his first year as a starter, we had the worst OL we've had in the "golden era", even worse than 2018. Chuck Scott ran for 1000 in 08, then only got to like 600 that year. Ciron was on one leg, and the T-Bob/ Dworacyk/ Hitt interior was terrible. also took a lotta sacks. just a bad line all year, with not much of a running game. and that was the year Jefferson threw more TDs (17) than Burrow did this year (16).
all that said, I'd still take the '18 Burrow over the '09 Jefferson (when he was arguably at his best). and I still think Burrow's gonna do really well this coming yet.
we comin'

I don't know why anyone would have a problem with "no excuses."
You're persistently adversarial to people on here.

It was a simple question. I am wondering because I see you posting this all of the time now. Based on your failure to answer the question and your hostility towards me, I will take that as a yes.

O is really going all in with the new offense narrative this year. I can't wait to be disappointed again
