forget what he did yesterday - before this game started, it's been my observation that the kid has let his ego go to his head - showboating supreme...which I understand is typical of WR's in the NFL, but nothing that endears me to him going forward - it does not represent LSU well.

It just confirms my reasoning why Jarvis Landry is still my favorite of the two. Mr. Reliable, with a team-oriented mindset. THAT is what represents LSU (and the player) the best to the fans.

Geez!! Yes Odell did not handle the instigation from Norman well at all...Norman got in his head and got the best of Odell. Odell did not want to get punked and took the selfish approach and didn't care how he affected the game and his teammates...Odell is also still young and some criticisms are warranted...He will learn from this...Remember he comes from a great family and foundation...he will be fine...

Moreover, the officiating crew should be facing fine and suspension. They let it happen.
This! In spades!

The initial Norman body slam should have drawn a PF flag 100 out of 100 times. One flag there probably changes the entire day.

So, threatened to have his career ended by Panthers pregame, thugs pointing baseball bats at him, norman smacks him three plays in a row (no calls) then body slams him in front of two refs and he's the punk for defending himself?

Yep, and don't expect LSU fan support, we hate our former players and its all miles fault.

No way should obj be the only one suspended.

There's no denying the end result was an earhole shot that practically spun Norman;s head off his damn shoulders...but...look at OBJ's body and you can tell he actually missed his target. Hell, he almost missed Norman entirely as most of his body weight passes in front of Norman.

As it happened, it was clear OBJ lost his shite early in the play and came back looking to light him up, and found Norman standing near the play. Had he hit Norman in the shoulder and STILL unloaded on him, it would have STILL be a vicious hit but people wouldn't be going crazy about it.

The fact that he caught Norman exactly where he did, how he did with that hit doesn't make it any more or less dirty as far as I'm concerned.

Frankly, as athletic as OBJ is, he's not a DB. Had this been a safety accustomed to head hunting guys I'd be much more inclined to say he landed exactly where he was aiming. This was a cheapshot that went horrible wrong...but it was going to be a cheapshot regardless of where the crown of his helmet hit, and that's the point.

Carolina cornerback Josh Norman had a baseball bat during pre-game warmups and was swinging it while walking on the sideline. The perception was that he sending message to Beckham.

I’m told there were comments also made in the direction of Beckham and other players about how the Panthers were coming to “beat the s**t out of him.”

Some? He took an indefensible cheap shot on the field that could have potentially cost someone their career. He also cost his team 45 yards in penalties in a game they lost by 3 points. He deserves every bit of criticism he gets.

After the first couple of plays it was apparent that they were going to try and the refs had no intention of throwing any flags for it. So Odell fought fire with fire.

Also saying that he should be suspended for the entire season a joke.

What? Throwing a punch should get a 1 game suspension. If a DB player lead with head the way OBJ did it would be a minimum of a 1 game suspension. That's 2 games, or the remainder of the season. That is not a joke of a suspension or suggestion given the circumstances. OBJ, having shown he cannot handle this type of defense, should expect more of it -- MUCH MORE.

yet the only one that went for the knockout shot was Beckham with his flying squirrel and handful of punches he threw throughout the game

So trash talk (with a baseball bat in hand) is ok before the game.

It's ok to tell OBJ that you intend to end his day/career early (as reported by multiple sources).

It's ok to actually physically attack obj, as norman did at least 3 times before obj retaliated, I saw it live and rewound it several times because I was shocked he was getting away with it.

It's ok to call obj a balarenia and mock him on social media even as you started all of it.

Yep, all good but Eff that obj because he retaliated.

And let's suspended him only, great job nfl.

i dont have any problem with trash talk.

If you can't withstand trying to physically hurt someone outside the rules of the game because somone talked trash to you, then you dont deserve to play.

yea, pretty much. you dont think trash talk goes on in every game? How many people you see act like that? EVER?

There is no excuse for the way OBJ acted yesterday. You are supposed to be a professional. You let another man punk you, get in your head and take you out of your game.

You have the potential to be one of the best WRs the game has ever seen if you keep your head straight.

Shut up, go out and do your job.

Two years ago the Carolina/San Fransisco Division Round playoff game was the worst game I have ever seen as far as sportsmanship after the play. The Panthers ran their mouths after every single play, even as they lost. The 49ers matched their thuggish ways and it was awful.

Same guys are involved in this yesterday, as was this guy.
