If OBJ was trying to spear Norman, why would he do it with the side of his helmet? Making it even easier for him to hurt himself?

I think he was aiming for his shoulder and just flat out missed due to coming at a curving angle.

Should still be punished, but people are acting like he was trying to paralyze Norman for life.

If it were against any other team than Carolina the haters may have a case. The Panthers are known pieces of shite, especially the defense.

That wasn't a "bitch cheap shot". That was malicious & criminal considering Norman's position.

Criminal, huh? I guess Odell can have company in his jail cell.

34 seconds

It was a cheap shot, it deserved the flag and even an ejection. But it really wasn't worse than similar cheap shots we see every week.

Bingo.

The NFL, for years, has been going the WWE route in terms of creating good guys vs bad buys, etc. (I won't get into the blatant bad calls to keep games close or favor certain teams).

This just further proves that point.

The refs did exactly what they were instructed to do.

They were both wrong for their actions. This was a big game for the Giants and the matchup between Norman and Beckham was huge from the beginning. They were both going back and forth the entire night. The only reason why Beckham should be suspended is because of the helmet to helmet hit and should have been ejected for the penalties.

There are some bigger issues going on with him because this isn't the first time he's displayed this kind of egregious behavior on the field. I heard there was some trash talking before the game between the two that Beckham took to heart which could explain what happened. It seemed like there is/was some beef between the two maybe before the game or time before that. Regardless, it should have never gotten to that point. Coughlin, hell even Eli Manning should have gotten in his shite and told him to calm the frick down. The refs should have also stopped the shite and ejected his arse before it went too far. He made it about the one on one battle between he and Norman and forgot about the implications of winning the game for the team.

The good thing about this is that he's still a young player with a lot to learn but his mentors and those who he looks up to needs to reach out to him and give his some guidance on how to move forward from here. His reputation took a hit here, but only he can decide how he wants to be remembered from here on out.

Odell should have been ejected right after his head-to-head hit on Norman.

It was his third unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, and one of the dirtiest plays I've ever seen.

He had no business being in the game from that point forward.

First contact I see in that video looks like Norman shoving OBJ in the face mask

At no point did Norman do anything that warranted being thrown out the game

Beckham threw 4 punches, got 3 personal fouls & launched himself head first into Norman

It's ok to admit he acted like a bitch. No one will take your LSU crocs from you

Why has nobody photoshopped Odell as Daffy Duck after he steps over Norman

Too big of an ego + too much press and attention + too much money + poor officiating + being handled with care and kid gloves = a potentially great player out of control.

He should have been kicked out of the game and missed the remainder of the season (2 games not 1).

Not defending what the opponents did to him as right either, but solely on what Odell did and reacted to.

People need to realize that the NFL will fuss and snort about this for public purposes but is giving this behavior a wink and a nod behind the scenes. It sells TV and nobody got hurt. NFL is the new WWF...

A lot of people were dumping on OBJ for his behavior but I am not offended or embarrassed. He is at the top of the game and as long as he takes his punishments I don't care what he dishes out. Also think about this, down the road when his career is over on the field the most interesting and colorful players get to sit on the stage and commentate. Very few of those pundit SOB's were well behaved children on the field.
