LSU is honestly at the top of the list when it comes to everything except RPI.
Shouldn't playing Florida tonight move LSU into the upper 30's in RPI?

Possibly. But it could be offset by how our opponents still playing do.

You guys understand RPI better than I do. I'm not even attempting to get into how that crap works.

The AAC is playing 6 games today on two separate fields. I'm kind of impressed with that. Tulane could end up with two games today (I'm guessing, I didn't look too hard at the bracket and I already closed that browser window).

Warren Nolan - Impact Games

Says we lose 14 points with a loss to UF.

Which looks like it equates to about 3 spots.

ETA: Looks like a win would get us up to #35.

I'm showing just 1 spot. We fall back below UCF.

Ah, I think I was misreading 14 as 18 for some reason. I thought we would end up just in front of Ohio St.

ETA: They only list indirect impact games if they are enough to move a team one whole spot. This late in the season that's pretty much impossible. But there can still be ground made up or lost based on the outcomes of our opponents.

I think aTm has to be in at this point. Putting a beat down on UGA right now.

Question for you guys. Do you think its safe to say that a conference with zero teams inside the top 50 RPI is safely a 1 bid league? That is what I've used as my measuring stick for 1 bid conferences.

So we probably do need to win one game to hold steady at about 40 in the RPI during the double elimination portion of the SECT

9 SEC teams are definitely in.

Florida
UGA
Ark
Ole Miss
Auburn
USCe
Vandy
A&M
State

UK and LSU are bubble teams.

I just don't see how. You will see with the numbers whenever I get finished, but they should all be in, barring a ton of bid stealers.

Well, I say I don't see how. But that is speaking logically looking at the numbers. What the committe decides to pick and choose to punish a team for this year to knock an SEC out is a crap shoot.

Game 2 of the tournament started at 2:10pm yesterday. We're about on that same trajectory today other than having a extra inning game. Looking more like a 5:30pm 1st pitch today depending on rain and 10 run rule.

UK is in IMO. 13-17 is their big knock with not playing well lately.

LSU has the lowest RPI of the 11 teams listed. Road wins is our big knock obviously.

UK is in a very similar situation to us from 2011. I really don’t think they get in. I think LSU is a 75% chance to make it now. If they win one of the next 2, I think they are a lock.

Which is why I think they make it. The "problem" with the 2011 team at the time was that they "didn't make their conference tournament". Well, they SEC just said "Fine. We'll take everyone."
