If only it were that easy. 15 wins USUALLY does it, but its more complicated. 15 wins puts LSU in RIGHT NOW, but they are on the edge. 2-3 conference tourney upsets puts LSU out if they don't beat MSU. It also doesn't help that UK and aTm have much stronger RPIs. They need to lose today, if we don't win.

Honestly, it would be best if the season ended today. This team doesn't have the strength to contend in the postseason this year. I know that sounds rough and no disrespect to the players but this abysmal season needs to conclude. Why prolong the inevitable ?

Tulane is up 6-1 on Houston in the 2nd inning. Houston is one of 4 teams that it would help us if they won their Tournament. I personally think ECU will take it.
But a Tulane win could give a slight boost to our RPI.

I am going to wait till things start to take better shape before I really dig down into what it is looking like. At first glance I am counting 52, pretty solid locks to get into the tournament.
That leaves 12 spots up for grabs (I am not counting teams like LSU, aTm, UK, MSU as well as other clear bubble teams from other conferences).
If you throw in 4-5 conference tourney upset autobids, that number comes down to around 7-8 bubbles getting in. Not having conference tourney upsets will be really important for LSU, especially if they don't help themselves.
Thursday or Friday, when some separation starts to happen I will compare the bubble teams and see what it looks like. It would be too many teams to do it right now.

I believe it’s gonna take winning the game today. In all honesty, it should. I’d be pissed if I belonged to a mid major with a better record that got passed over because they didn’t win their conference tourney.

A mid major with a better record than LSU really doesn't mean much at all. If you played total crap teams 35 out of your 50 games, you better have a good record.
