If you put that offense with any of Aranda’s defenses we likely don’t lose

The 2013 team scored 41 points in the first loss @UGA (Odell fumble), but only 24 @Ole Miss (Mett 3 picks), and 17 @Bama (Copeland fumble - not the only reason we lost, but set the tone).

Now - don't get me wrong, Chavis' defense was not good in 2013 at all. They did win the defensive contest with Florida in TS and held a good aTm team to 10 points (also in TS), but the rest of that year was underwhelming or worst - almost 120 points in the 3 losses.

Put that offense with Chavis’s 4 prior defenses and we don’t lose.

We lost a lot on defense that year.

This all day... i believe even with the Odell Fumble and Metts 3 Picks we win those games with a better defense

Interesting perspective on the Ole Miss game.

Mett was forcing the ball hard in the first half. Threw 3 int into double and triple coverage on Odell deep. Needed to check down.

We also could have stopped their last drive for the walk off, but we put up a goose egg in the first half on a. Team we should have routed.

They understand that there is more that goes into winning football games than having two great receivers, right? Still salty about 2007 IMO.

“they”.... Cleveland
“Understand”
“Winning”
“Football”

No. They don’t. Clearly, you don’t understand Cleveland (or Cincinnati) football. ??????

We played against the all time everything sec QB early in the season with an unprecedented amount of early departures.

We were never winning that UGA game. And of course Bama, fumble on the goal line changes everything. And then Metts 3 pick against Ole Miss.

In reality, that wasn't really that bad of a season. Fine margins.

We had them inside their own 30, 3rd and 10 and they converted. It was tied at that time and enough on the clock to give the Tigers a shot to win.

UGA drove 75 yards to take the lead in their game, but the offense had another possession and flopped.

We agree, but that game shouldn’t have been that close. We could have won if the defense played better in the end. We also could have won if the offense didn’t play like absolute shite in the first half.

We also scored 41 points and gave up 44

You have an amazing ability to ignore an entire game for the last possession.

I don't think anyone has done this. As usual, you just focus on what you want in order to argue.

shite happens. That was one of those years when we had it all but turnovers killed us.

Two of our losses were by a total of 6 points. Those games could have gone either way

and Mett's 3 picks at Ole Miss.

Wow, I had no recollection of that game, and I'm the type that can name exact scores from games going back 15 years.

Must have been a reason I blocked it out. Googled it, and now I remember why I don't remember.

I dont Understand why you think the perspective that Mets 3 picks may have cost us the Ole Miss game is “interesting”

And just as a comment: they were all bad picks. Thrown into coverage and just expecting Odell to be the man and get the ball.

2 of the interceptions were in the OM end zone, the other inside the 15

They were all 20+ yard passes too.

One was first down from the 38. Really frustrating.

To be fair Ole Miss had 2 all-star safeties and Cam ran the same play-action we had run all year w/o many options for Mett.
