Geaux font was the only redeeming item that came from the branding effort Athletic department has just done a piss poor job integrating it into all of LSU merchandise and media.

I really like the Geaux Font too. Very good brand, it's plain, simple, & easy to recognize. Similar with the Texas (horns), the Michigan "M", OU, the Oregon "O", etc

Eh, I disagree. A generic block font does nothing for me. I would much rather a unique font like "Geaux" over something you can download as freeware online.

This. I despise toonces and haven't bought it in years, but I can't stop Christmas gifts and things of that nature. Please take it way from well-meaning family members.

Now we have to get Toonces off the freaking Balfour class rings.
I lost mine many moons ago and refuse to purchase a new one that has the Driving Cat on there.
Put the old Tiger head (Or the new refurbished one) back on the rings Balfour and just be done with it.

I still prefer the middle one of this comparison:
The original from the helmet and the new one just look like the gold and white are random. The older ones also create the appearance that the tiger is looking to the side, which gives the graphics some depth. That is lost on the new one.
Still a huge improvement over Toonces, which I have mostly avoided successfully.

i was a big time toonces hater but i actually love the geaux font.
of the three circle head tigers i don't mind the new one. take it over toonces any day. i feel like the 1972 one is looking a little to my right. the one after that a little to my left but 2013 tiger is staring into my soul.
