Dude is a true freshman. Of course he's going to have some struggles. He's gone from having a sub 1-ERA (IIRC) to having to actually battle through some things facing some much better hitters than what he saw last year.
Did you call Kade Anderson a head case last year? So far, they're pretty much on the same trajectory. Will Schmidt take that next step? That remains to be seen, but calling him a head case is dumb as hell.

Am I the only one who thinks Kade's voice doesn't really match how he looks?

I think the ump was just ready to get this game going after we got up by so much. He had a zone that was tight at the beginning, but was fairly consistent as far as college umps go. There towards the end he really widened it, though. Can't say I blame him.
