Nussmeier averaged 11.4 yards per attempt on balls thrown 20+ yards. That ranked 16th in the SEC. He completed 36% of such passes, ranking 12th in the SEC.

You said Nuss throws the worst deep ball in all of college football. Then you lied about saying it. Then you got hit with a screenshot of you saying exactly what you lied about.

You respond with some statistics that indicate he is ranked low at throwing the deep ball in comparison to the SEC. But that's not what you said originally. You said Nuss throws the worst deep ball in all college football.

Maybe you're such an emotional bitch you say outlandish things like a teenage girl, then forget you said them. But when confronted with your errors you should say, "yeah...I did say that" and drive on.

but there is usually a ton of sunshine pumping in the pre-season.

Where have you been the last 2 weeks? With every camp report the last 2 weeks where the defensive line made a good/great play, the board & media personalities have been screaming doom & gloom.

Don't get me wrong, there is definitely that too, but the closer it gets to the season starting is when the sunshine pumpers shine the brightest. The poster said we are elite like it's a fact just from a practice report and it was heavily upvoted. I do think we have great potential this year, but again, it's practice. You never really know what you got until we line up against a similarly-talented team.

I can respect that & that's much better reasoning than some of these tard posters.

You say this yet you jump in a thread just to make a post in conversation that didn't even involve you.

The point remains, Nuss struggled with deep ball accuracy last season for whatever reasons. Statistically, he was the worst in one of, if not the top conference in the nation.

Davhon Keys over West Weeks. Keys had 2 sacks, 1 Pick 6, 3 passes defended, 1 fumble recovery. West had 0 sacks, 0 FF or FR, 0 passes defended, 0 INTs. Keys also had a good chunk of more tackles in the games they played in a per game stat. It was quite clear last year who was better. BK needs to go with who puts us in the best position to win. Not who has the most experience. Keys is obviously the better LB.

That is the only thing I disagree with, but it is a very big thing who plays that 3rd LB spot.

Payton comes in on 3rd downs, maybe not 3rd and short, but passing downs he will. Pyburn is in on running downs.

The only reason you & anyone didn't like the quote is due to the outcome of that game.

I didn’t care about the quote one way or the other. Still don’t.

And as far as the Hill and Burrow quotes? No, they weren’t wrong; they were right. You are arguing something different than we are: You are arguing that those players were right to show confidence. That’s a valid argument. We are arguing that Will was factually incorrect. He was.

Not really the topic of this conversation, but I'll bite. The reason we "couldn't" run the ball last year is because we didn't run the ball.

We had something like a 60% - 40% pass-run ratio last year. There are a lot of reasons for that ratio (e.g. defensive struggles, being down late in games, scheme, QB with arm talent, etc.). But you can't be good at something if you don't do that thing... a lot. Rushing attacks are no different.
_______

Which came first, chicken or egg?

One can make the argument that we didn't run the ball more because we couldn't show success when we did.

Thompson is the guard getting manhandled by Gooden.

______

It has been reported numerous times that Gooden has been winning quite a bit regardless of who was in at guard. He has a very good get-off at the snap. It has also been reported that the left guard is the spot most in question. Thompson seems to be locked in to start at right guard.
