The guy who said that went #5 overall in the past NFL Draft so terms in his overall ability, he was pretty damn GOOD.

Of course he was good. He was also wrong when he said that.

No, I'm basing my opinion on several factors & not just one interview given by BK. How about the fact that the team upgraded with a veteran player at center in Braelin Moore?

You used his quote so I was just asking. I’m glad we upgraded at center, it was much needed.

You have this hard on, wanting the offensive line to be bad this season when truth be told, everything points to being the opposite of that.

it provides Johnson the opportunity to get up to speed in pass pro which is HIGHLY important but often overlooked.

Excellent point. I was not thinking about that but you are exactly right.

Thompson was a fricking All-Big Ten guard. I never worried about him.

We are elite.

I mean, it's practice. I do think the team has a lot of potential with a likely improved D and tons of weapons on offense, but there is usually a ton of sunshine pumping in the pre-season.

Yes because an elite player having confidence in his abilities as well as his teammates is a bad thing.

That's what you get for arseuming. Just like your arseumptions in every thread the past few weeks discussing the offensive line.

Your consistent pessimistic posts say otherwise.

Where have you been the last 2 weeks? With every camp report the last 2 weeks where the defensive line made a good/great play, the board & media personalities have been screaming doom & gloom.

I’ve done the exact opposite. I have no clue how good or bad the OL will be.

Because I think LSU is really strong at every other position group but have questions about the offensive line?

I thought this unit sucked though?

If our OL is "really good", we've got what we need to challenge for a championship.

I've been around long enough to see multiple coaches point to a weakness and call it strength in the offseason though.

You run to every offensive line thread to play contrarian against any poster who posts anything positive about the offensive line. You couldn't wait to jump in this thread & do just that.

Lmao you proved me right. I said he was wrong, I didn’t say that him being confident was bad. I also said that I have no clue how good or bad the OL will be which lines up perfectly with me saying that I have questions about how good the OL will be. Look, if you’re upset that I’m not saying that I’m certain LSU is going to be great at every single position on the field, then you’re just going to have to be upset.

How about this, I believe if LSU’s OL can be above average that they will be a playoff team. Is that better?

A few others as well.

If you had asked my to guess the starting D-line before camp started, I don't know how many I would have gotten right. I suppose there's still a week to make changes, but after that, it's pretty much locked in. Looks good from where i'm sitting.

BigBrod, You are clearly wrong on this one. He did not say anything about whether being confident was good or bad. He said Will was wrong, and he was.

Kelly stated the Offensive Line is “going to be very good.”

But did he say WHEN … the Offensive Line would be very good ??

It’s 2 weeks til Clemson.

With the practice reports this could be the deepest we’ve been at corner in over a decade.

I’ll never forget 2011 where you had Claiborne
Mathieu
Simon
Brooks all at corner.

All 4 would be CB1 at most SEC schools

Will Campbell originally said the quote out of confidence in himself & his teammates. The only reason you & anyone didn't like the quote is due to the outcome of that game. I didn't have a problem with then & I still don't & neither should anyone else. I guess these confident quotes were wrong too.

"People are going to start respecting LSU...if you don't, we're going to hit you in your mouth." ~ Marquise Hill

“I think we’re going to score a lot of points, and I don’t think a lot of people are used to LSU scoring 40, 50, 60 points a game." ~ Joe Burrow
