He probably yanked her hair after she slapped him full across the face. Just two people in a dysfunctional relationship who happen to have a kid. That'll be realized and these charges will get dropped or they'll plead to super reduced charges

From WAFB
"The fight happened at Godchaux's apartment in Indigo Park, a popular, gated apartment development off Nicholson Drive near its intersection with Gardere.
Deputies wrote in arrest documents, Godchaux and his girlfriend were fighting over infidelity. The woman said as she tried to leave the apartment with their 10-month-old, Godchaux twice grabbed her - once by her hair and a second time by the shoulder - and tossed her backwards. The unidentified woman said Godchaux refused to let her leave the apartment.
An investigator wrote the woman had a swollen lip and marks near her throat. Godchaux, too, had a cut lip.
No one was treated for injuries."

Coach O, welcome to the responsibility of being a head coach....

My future wife user one of my flip flops as a dildo so I caught athletes foot.
I should have pressed charges.
I should have pressed charges.

Dude just lost his coach. She wants to cause some drama instead of being there for him is how I see it
Good Lord, it's not like Les died or something.

He said/She said with no major injuries...I don't think much will come of this

He laid his hands on her and left visable marks. I dont see how you think there's nothing to this. You dont lay your hands on a woman ever, especially one trying to leave your place with your kid.

No condoning any actions of anyone involved, clearly he messed up. Also didn't say there's nothing to this. Just don't think he'll be kicked off the team like some in this thread believe.

Laws are different these days pertaining to domestic violence. Even if the baby mammy didn't want to press charges the police can push it through anyway. Law about this was passed last year after the woman in Ascension Parrish was murdered by her ex.
If the charges aren't dropped, and he has no priors, he will more than likely be allowed to do a pre-trial intervention. If he completes that he will be able to have the charges exsponged.

Ever? No. But the times are insanely rare. This may not be one of those times.
Im not automatically judging based off of a news report the morning after.

quote:Are you kidding? This story has already blown up on Social Media while all National Media Eyes are on Baton Rouge because of Les being let go. This is a major deal and extremely bad.Watch the media take this and run with it. Big mistake on his part, 57 will be sitting for a long time.

I mean this is Coach O's boy on the DL and now he's the head coach. What does it say if he lets a guy like this get away with a 1 game suspension or something? Keep in mind Orgeron is now instantly under a TON of pressure, he's interviewing for his dream job the rest of this season. How would you handle that?
It may not really have been that bad, but now it's national news and Coach O will be the one to answer all the questions.

Agree. A note here though, he also had a cut/bruise on his lip.

What if she was truly a danger to herself and he child and the marks were collateral/incidental damage?
There will be far more to this one.

What if she was intoxicated and wanted to drive away with your child?

Report early said she was "not in the right state of mind"
