Lamar didnt sign early like the others so he’s playing catch up but kiffin had some hype about him in a presser the other day I believe. I think he may at least start his career as a DE as well

Means nothing everyone will rotate. Also it’s how you get the more proven guys motivated when you put a true freshman over them .

They want one DT with size and Anderson fills that need. But we will rotate 5.

I'd be more concerned if these two true freshmen were starting at DT if they weren't in the mix. I witnessed Blocton play good ball at Auburn. Green was serviceable at Clemson.
One thing that stands out about Anderson is his size. He's already built for the SEC.
I'm sure both will have some growing pains, but it is exciting to think that LSU may have hit a HR with these two adds.

I’ve heard nothing about McKinley this camp. Hopefully it means absolutely nothing and that he’s playing well.

Just love that we're playing soft arse Clemson week 1. These freshmen are damn good and will have strong rookie campaigns, but if we were opening against a strong OL, I'd be pretty concerned.

Geralds is a ball of muscle too. Shorter, but his get-off looks elite. He's going to be very hard to block with his center of gravity, strength, and quickness off the ball

This is NIL now, no one is waiting on playing time. The best player is going to start now regardless of age or class. This is one good thing about NIL.

McKinley is listed at 6’6” on the LSU website. Pad level is no doubt a major issue. I have not studied him much but imagine wasted/ineffective first steps really hinder a guy that tall.
Kind of reminds me of Maason Smith recently. Another huge body guy that never seemed to take over and dominate with that size advantage.
But those 6'1" guys like Glenn Dorsey, Drake Nevis, Tyler Shelvin, Chad Lavalais, and Kyle Williams (with shoes) just had the ability to get under Olineman.
Deuce Geralds fits that mold. And Richard Anderson is about 6'3" which I prefer over him being 6'5".

If we get Brewster next year I wouldn’t be upset seeing them try Brown at OT.
