He's been everything as advertised.

He's just as important as finding a new head coach. I don't know if he's head coach material (seems too quiet), but I REALLY want to see what year two looks like. When he's got a full year to train up the rest of the team that doesn't graduate or declare for the draft like Devin White.

Not sure he wants to be a head coach at this point. Seems to be very focused on what he does, and enjoying the wealth of talent he has to work with.

Only reason he came to lsu was to increase his resume. Hopefully we can keep him next year but with how he has looked so far I won't be surprised if he's not a head coach somewhere next season. His resume is absolutely unbelievable. He may leave this year for a group of five job and if stays and follows this season up with another year similar he will likely begin to get looks at many power 5 schools

No one would be talking about giving O the job if Aranda was not our DC. Fact, Aranda makes O look like a decent coach.

The most any team has scored on this defense in a game this year is 21 points. That is some phenomenal work Aranda is doing. We need to make sure we keep this guy around.

Just like Saban. Lord, I hope we can keep this man.

No doubt. We must retain him at any expense. Now we just need an elite offensive coordinator to match him.

We lose Aranda and we're back in mediocrity. The guy is a special talent and should be kept around at all cost..., even if it means making him HC.

Based on what?

Based on the fact that this defense has improved every game this season and is currently on Alabama's level....something which NO OTHER DEFENSE in college football has been able to attain. The 2011 defense was nasty and full of pro's but this defense has a Nick Saban "suffocating" feel to it. This reminds me of the 2003 defense.

If you can't give the man his props then you're blind.

Yes....this gives me a boner. Make this man the HC please. I don't care if he's an introvert... I don't care if he doesn't "recruit" well. Hell even if we get a bunch of 3 star players (like he did at Wisky) we'd still be top 10 in defense every year. We need to re-evaluate how we select head coaches at LSU. The qualifications should be:

1) Coaching ability

5) Recruiting

47) Dealing with Media and boosters

102) salary
