Pretty sure O knows who should play

Rosenthal is not ready. He plays way too upright and doesn’t have the footwork aspect down.

Texas 24 tiger I've always wanted that. Good one

People say this, but coaches are often wrong.
DJ Welter for example
Look at Jessie Daniels who started in front of Craig Steltz
Jessie was fine, but Steltz starts his senior year has 100+ tackles 7 picks. Steltz lead the team in picks a couple of years coming off the bench. HAd comparable numbers tackles wise.
Daniels' best season was 2004 and he started 2 more.
If a guy is there first and he isn't terrible coaches rarely go with someone else

Deculus was the highest rated recruit in the class he was in. According to ESPN. May have even had the highest composite rating ,as well.
I know it sounds childish, but some coaches have a hard time benching a player like that. They don't wantbto admit that they may have been, a little to a lot, off when it comes to there player evaluations.

Deculus was the lowest of the starters at 64.3
Not correct
LT Rosenthal - 72.8
LG Magee - 70.0
C Cushenberry - 47.9
RG Lewis - 52.2
RT Deculus - 64.3
From the NWST game, per PFF

Thank you, Charlie.
I was looking for the right words but couldn’t find them in those exact terms without being impolite.
Thank you for covering it

I’ve been very impressed with Dare’s run blocking. He looks lean but when he gets down low and gets his hands on you, he mauls.

For all you callling did Rosenthal to replace Deculus at RT you should pump your breaks and look at reality. Dare has NEVER played or practiced on the right side and O has repeatedly said he views him as a LT. It’s not that east to just switch sides, especially for a kid who just switched from defense a year ago anyway. The footwork is completely opposite. Look how bad Andrus Peat was at RT for the Saints because he had always played on the left side. Until Deculus prices unplayable at RT he’s your best and only option outside of Badara Traore who also is much better on the left side.

Specifically his pass blocking grade against NWST wasd an incredible 84.8, while the run block grade was only 66.5 (not bad though). I bet he got dinged hard for that 1 missed block that got Fournette tackled 4 yards in the backfield.

The ones that are “often” wrong are often fired. Rather quickly at that. But I’ll gladly leave the decision to the men that see these players day in and day out.

Are you insinuating that coaches care more about playing highly rated players than winning games? If so, how in the hell is Justin Jefferson on the field?

Thats only true if they play a bad player over a good player. As you can see, Jessie Daniels wasn't bad, Steltz was just probably better.
If they play a good player over a slightly better player than the overall results may not change too much.

Maybe not now, but dare may improve in 2021 to where he is the left tackle and Charles can go to RT.
Posted on 9/17/19 at 12:20 pm to GetmorewithLes
Rosenthal played 36 snaps and Traore played 26 at LT.

O called Dare a future first round pick at LT

Ya just like he knows who to play at RB. You're so right.
