He had a segment on his podcast about Jayden and basically theme was his mom is the problem and it’s time for Jayden to grow up and tell her to back off.

I'm really glad Fournette made the video he did. You can tell he actually loves LSU. I like how he said 7 was not only the cool number to him, but it represented where he was from. DJ has his own hopes and dreams. Let him rock the number.

If true then JD needs to get these leeches in his inner circle in check or else they’ll continue to make problems for him.
And tell the press when asked that I didn’t approve of this. This was not my doing and I’m handling it internally. And apologize to LSU and Pickett.

Simms and Florio (Simms more directly) brought it up this morning and for media standards were fairly candid about it. Basically said Jayden is great but anytime they bring that up to people the immediate response is "but have you met his mom?"

Unofficially protected, as was #5 until the “promise” made it a problem. In most cases, the coach would tell a player to pick another number. The promise changed that. Rock, meet hard place.
But, Jayden’s mom took it to a whole nuther level.
