I don’t think he’s bad...but just adequate I guess.

I would just like to have a QB that puts some fear in the opposing defense..enough fear that they have to play honest.

That being said...we could do a lot worse than Etling

Before the season started the large majority of Ranter's said all we needed from Danny Etling is to be better than what we've had the last 2 years, don't "Lose the Game". Dude throws one interception this year in a new system. Defense gives up too many point against Troy and way too many against MSU. Running game took weeks to develop and now if we had a better QB the receivers would make the big catch, tackles would make the stops, OL would prevent the sacks, field goals would be at 100%, all if Etling were "better than serviceable".

If we are picked off in the first half, Auburn likely isnt going to be in the situation where they are throwing the ball with 12 seconds left in the game.....


If the pick happens, there is no telling how the game plays out. Put I feel pretty dang confident we dont win that game if we are down 23-7 going into halftime

You must have missed the Auburn game. Before that last drive started, he had 77 total passing yards. LSU had 13 total points. The reason a last minute drive was even necessary was because of Etling. We lost a game in which our opponent didn't score a touchdown.

(2:15 - 4th) Danny Etling pass complete to Travin Dural for 16 yds to the Aub 47 for a 1ST down. The next play was snapped at 1:57 on the game clock but 15 seconds on the play clock. That's an 18 second differential in game clock but a 25 second differential in play clock. Math means the clock was stopped for the first down

(1:30 - 4th) Danny Etling run for 18 yds to the Aub 27 for a 1ST down. Danny ran out of bounds at the 1:30 mark. The next play was snapped at the 1:30 mark. Because the clocked stopped.

(0:54 - 4th) Danny Etling pass complete to Malachi Dupre for 4 yds to the Aub 14 for a 1ST down. Clock stops at 54 seconds. It starts again after ball is set with 34 seconds remaining on the play clock.

YOU LITERALLY MADE UP THE WHOLE DANNY WAS CHEATED OUT OF 40 SECONDS THING.
