The passing offense capped with Daniels and if you are a receiver you either need to love blocking or look elsewhere for catches and yards.

If you can't block as a receiver the NFL isn't interested

Overall, I’m bummed. I thought with this WR group and Nuss (with the right coaching and progression) might be able to get able to to back to an elite pass offense that led us to a title recently. At least that ceiling was there.

Why can’t Daniels improve from year 1 to year 2? Are you guys that keep basically shitting on Daniels ok with the possibility as well of Nuss having a +20 TO year?

Because unless Nuss as well improving with the right coaching and progression will be a TO machine.

Daniels and Boutte just couldn’t get on the same page and his draft stock plummeted this year

I said the same thing in the Boutte thread and was downvoted. Boutte doesn't fit Kelly's offense

Ok. I can do that.

He said he was coming back. The school year just ended. He just received his grades. He was ineligible for the bowl game likely due to said grades. He was going to have to work hard between now and fall to become eligible again for next year. It was easier to go to the NFL this year so he did.

There. My scenario is just as likely as yours.

I hear you. That’s generally the case.

But a situation can also tank your stock or at least make it more of an uphill battle.

I swear you people probably will blame Daniel’s for the southwest airline debacle.

Yeah, I don't know why people can't see that what happened is he was academically ineligible. Daniels announced a week ago that he was returning. Boutte would have known well before then. Boutte gets on the plane and travels with the team to the bowl game and then says he is going pro. Obviously he got his grades and would have been out of spring practice. Met with CBK and went pro.

I really wish threads like these were deleted.

I hate people like you with a passion. Leveraging a kid that was lazy and didn't want to be here to bash a kid that came here and excelled.

Frick you.

Put 2 and 2 together, the kid was academically ineligible and left

Ohhhh. You mean that thing that nfl scouts really look to see if a receiver is good at? Someone that can run fast and catch a ball is a dime a dozen. Can you run a proper route and block when necessary is what separates a good NFL receiver from an average college receiver.

Chase & Jefferson are the top 2 WRs in the NFL today, I don’t see anyone and Jetts/Chase putting up those type numbers idiot!

Boutte had 9 TDs in 6 games a sophomore.

He might’ve been able to.

Lol. Boutte is no Chase or Jefferson. I like him. He’s a good receiver but these two are on another level that few ever reach.
