That is all part of throwing a deep ball, so no, he doesn’t throw a great deep ball.

Holy shite I hope you meant 2 steps bc if he under threw wrs by 2 seconds they would be dropping 15 yds behind them. He threw 2-3 that the wr had to slow up and Nabers was interfered with or he would have caught 1

Yeah, I'm watching an NFL QB underthrow TDs and not quite perfect right now. You can nitpick almost ant game ever played.

Ya, but these armchair QBs get some serious pass rush in those lazy boys.

Throwing the ball late results in an under thrown ball which is deemed….. not accurate.

Daniel’s throws a great deep ball. His problem is that he hesitates too long and throws the deep ball late which allows his receivers to get to far down field.

This in fact does make him not good at throwing the deep ball. Having the ability to throw it far doesn’t automatically make you good at throwing the deep ball. His timing is not good

I really think he is not trying to over throw them and not letting it rip.

Not last night. 3 absolute TD’s were missed and one TD was a great play by the wideout. Ball was under thrown by 2 seconds.

Who gives a shite. Last time I checked, he threw 4 TDs last night

What you are stating is the very definition of not being good at the deep ball. Too late, ball is perpetually under thrown.

That’s it, he doesn’t go to the line with that mindset, if he sees 1 on 1 coverage, he changes the play correctly and still questions himself whether he’s gonna throw deep to WR he changed the play for.
I know that statement sounds like a mess but that what must be going through his head also— it’s his indecision.

Well, your timing of the release is part of throwing a ball. So if he is late throwing a deep ball, he not good at throwing a deep ball.

Logic

I am. Read my OP. It’s not an issue with the mechanics of his throwing motion or his accuracy.
He throws the ball well. And while he doesn’t have a cannon he as adequate enough arm strength.

His problem is throwing the ball too late. His problem is a head problem not an arm talent problem. Again, I’m not saying there is no problem, I am just trying to accurately break down what the problem is. And for the record, his problem can be corrected and improved upon as the season goes which is much better than if it was a mechanics problem with his ability to throw the deep ball.

His point is obviously that he was under throwing them because of timing, which is a distinctly different issue than not being able to make the throw.

Thank you DBTD225. At least one person in this site has the ability of reading comprehension.

My point is that even though he shouldn’t have these timing issues by his 4th year as a starter, they still can be improved upon as season goes and coaches can help by calling plays early that help get his confidence going. If he had actual mechanics problem with throwing deep balls by year 4 then it’s probably too late and we just stuck with them.

Daniel’s throws a great deep ball

is the total opposite to
quote:

he hesitates too long and throws the deep ball late which allows his receivers to get to far down field. He doesn’t quite have the arm strength to overcome the late throw and get it out in front of the receivers which is why they have to slow up or turn around to catch it. This also allows the DB’s to get in better position to deflect passes.

now \/THIS\/ is true

This year has been much better.

But that adds up to = not as bad

Does NOT equate to =
