TR is dumb, but I do not remember many saying that about burrow.

Daniels is a bridge qb in a rebuilding year.

Daniels was not the problem Saturday. We are seeing the limitation of the LSU offensive scheme now. We have no deep threat or passing scheme that puts stress on defenses. Every passing pattern is either very deep and WR cannot get open of dump offs to RB or Mason Taylor. LSU is going to have to become more prolific in its scheme.

He was not the sole problem, but he was a huge part of it. What game did you watch?

Howard may beat him out in the spring, or maybe not. CBK will go with the best option to win most games, period.

I remember people on this board in 2018 saying Burrow would only be a 50% passer for his entire career. Fast forward to 2019 and he almost sets a record for highest completion percentage in a season. QBs can make a big jump from their junior to senior years. It's been proven.

True.

But there was another change from 2018 to 2019 you left out...a new (de facto) OC came in and COMPLETELY changed the offensive approach from 2018. Obviously Burrow is a great player. But without Brady Burrow probably puts up only marginally better numbers in 2019 than 2018. Instead, the change in the offensive approach took an average SEC QB to a record setting QB.

Daniels has started a lot of games in his college career. By now every coach has to understand his strengths and weaknesses. So LSU has two options: (1) change the offensive approach/scheme to fit Daniels's strengths, or (2) change the QB. Assuming he is suddenly going to become "better" running the same approach next year is foolish.

It’s a fair comparison. You guys think Oklahoma fans gets mad when people compare Jalen hurts to Kyler Murray to baker mayfield.

Joe burrow was damn near 22 years old when he got here. He still had to work his way thru it. I think you guys are too hard on Jayden. We fricken beat Bama with him. That a major deal. Next year he could win the heisman. Just like burrow.

Lmao. Time? He is heading into year 5, can't read a d, can't see open recs, and is highly inaccurate when he attempts to throw it down field. Defenses are scheming to shut the short stuff....

Yes, a QB that can't throw an accurate ball down field, when he actually sees the open rec....will win the Heisman. Seems good guy, can run, but you aren't winning a championship when you can't throw the ball more than 5-7 yards.

He does throw it some, he just usually can't keep it on the field of play. This guy is an idiot if he thinks it is LSU scheme vs JD limitations.

The only thing I expect from a QB is to pass the ball well and often…. I also expect him to put team before pass completion percentages.

So you just automatically assume it’s because he’s selfish? Hmm. Interesting.

Lol...ahhh, so that makes sense...that excuses his inability to see wide open recs and make an accurate throw when he actually does once in a blue moon. Arky and a&m exposed him with scheme and ga will be ugly. Some of you guys will make excuses at great length to protect your guy...for whatever reason that is. Some of us see he is very limited and after 4 years that ain't changing.

No one is saying he’s not limited. Just that right now we don’t have a better option. That’s a fact. You don’t have to like it but facts don’t care about your feelings.

He does call his number way too much, but that's running. Passing short is due to his inability to see down field recs and get it to them accurately when he does

bullshite dude. Kelly handpicked him. Kelly loves that running bs. That's one of the main reasons Notre Dame would get blown out in playoffs. He still hasn't learned. We aren't winning a championship with him at qb next year and have not gotten anyone else experience. You have no fkn clue about other options, but we have highly rated QBs on the bench that I guarantee can at least throw the fkn ball down the field. They just aren't the right color for you.

It's 40 more than 0. I really don't want to shite on JD5, but he will never be Burrow or anything like Burrow. It's such a bad comparison that I'm having trouble not laughing hard at anyone dumb enough to try to make it.
