Now take out the Southern Game. Not that great. 3 touchdowns in 2 games against div 1 schools is not scaring anyone. Especially with little to no running game

So of the 107 guys ahead of him, how many would you prefer run our offense?

Just out of the guys who were in the portal: (not counting Williams bc he was always following Riley)

Gabriel, Ewers, Slovis, JT Daniels

Could be worse though; coulda been Rattler.

We are suppose to have a strong WR room. Too bad it isn’t getting used to its potential.

A couple of things to help Danials out.
OC needs a do’s and don’t checklist.
Don’t- throw behind the line of scrimmage to the TE’s or RB’s besides Emery
Don’t- have long developing routes
Do- throw 3 to 4 deep go routes
Do- throw 4 to 5 behind the line of scrimmage balls to our talented WRs ( I have yet to see our WRs not make the 1st guy miss)
Do- throw 2 to 3 passes down the middle to TE
Do- throw several slants to any of our talented WRs

we should trade him for a better guy so that we can win it all this year…. oh wait, we can’t and he’s the absolute best guy on the team. I guess I should accept it.

And this is why statistics are useless. You can look at the data a million different ways and glean different info from every angle.

It doesn't account for the lack of strength in the Southern game, it doesn't account for how badly the misses were on open receivers or really doesn't account for the wide-open receivers that were never thrown the ball.

Looking at the stats, he was great. But as good as he is, he could be way better and more effective.

Not to mention by far the best QB on the roster this season. Kelly and the team are all in on him.

He’s not throwing receivers open nor throwing anticipation throws. That’s the complaint. That’s what Brennan did in his measly 3 games and what won burrow the heisman.

Kniw one thing he makes the defense looks slow, he’s got some serious speed

He's just a faster version of Jordan Jefferson.

He has played well but a deceptive stat where stats don't tell the full story. When you have no confidence throwing anticipation routes you're not going to throw many INTs and you're also not going to have many yards throwing which he doesn't have.

Yeah, there’s a lot more context to go with the positive numbers. We are currently 105th in yards per pass attempt and 120th in yards per completion with one or the best WR corps in the nation. These numbers tell the rest of the story- we aren’t hitting ANY big plays in the passing game. That can’t be ignored.

Hopefully Daniels can learn to trust himself and his receivers more and start hitting some of the big plays that are there for the taking. The big 3rd down pass to Nabers vs State will hopefully be a start toward him realizing that he has multiple guys who will win more than their share of 1 on 1 battles. If he can do this while maintaining accuracy and not having many turnovers, we will be in really good shape. Hopefully he gets there.

Cute. Short throws that anyone can complete. Refuses to throw down field with wide open guys and extremely inaccurate when attempting. The coaches see the issue, as do most unbiased observers. But yeah, he is definitely as good as Stroud and Bennett. See ya in New York for the ceremony.

legs are certainly a weapon. But we're not winning anything with a one dimensional QB. I hope he improves his vision and passing ability.

If he can keep his eyes downfield he is already beyond what I would consider one-dimensional. He could feasibly improve enough this season to threaten in the west.

First year with these coaches & already seen some improvement, so I’m optimistic on him if he can stay healthy.

Zero interceptions isn't necessarily going to be a good thing

Sometimes you need to be more aggressive throwing the ball downfield and a pick or two will happen

Yes you want to protect the ball but you also want to put pressure on the defense downfield

He's still by far our best option this year however and has made some good things happen

I’ve never seen more people bitch about a guy in my life. He only throws for 200 and runs for 100 every game.
At least maybe one post out of 100 could be positive.

It’s fricking draining

It’s not a video game out there. Myles Brennan barely completed 60% of his passes while at lsu and he usually had way more help around him.

Miles Brennan was an elite passer. His problem was that he wasn’t a fast enough decision maker to compensate for his lack of mobility. But if Daniels had Brennan’s accuracy he’d be one of the that ever was.

I’ll say this for Daniels; he is cool as a cucumber and shows leadership. Kelly will keep coaching this guy, and by the end of the year he is going to be hitting those back shoulder, and timing, routes. I think he made a smart decision playing for Kelly.

I mean he isn't finding the open receivers, and that's worth criticizing. Also, he can run, and he protects the ball. That's also true and worth praising.

He does some things well and some things not so well. He's a good QB overall, and he's our QB.
