Dandy Don stat of the day....17 players out.

Per Dandy Don....and I agree, Beats all I've ever seen. I'm not defending Coach here, but I don't know if any program could survive this mess:
2. Beats all I’ve ever seen. By my unofficial count, LSU has at least 17 players currently unavailable. The list below combines the players who were reported out before last week’s Ole Miss game plus the new additions. I should note that it could be off a little since some guys might have returned to health, but you get the point. I didn’t include offensive linemen Cam Wire and Chasen Hines since Orgeron sounded hopeful that they’d be back next week. And I didn’t include running back Tré Bradford, who, as far as I know, hasn’t yet gained eligibility since transferring back to LSU.
DE André Anthony
WR Kayshon Boutté
OL Anthony Bradford
QB Myles Brennan
S Major Burns
RB John Emery
DT Joseph Evans
DE Ali Gaye
OT Xavier Hill
WR Chris Hilton
DE Landon Jackson
TE Aaron Moffitt
WR Koy Moore
CB Eli Ricks
LB Jared Small
WR Deion Smith
CB Derek Stingley

That’s insane. Has Chris Hilton or Landon Jackson played at all this season? I think both were coming off injuries.

Sounds like a cultural problem and conditioning issue. All of which fall on…. Coach O.

This is why you need a change now.
Not "announce" a change then sit on your arse for months. Fire the guy, figure out what is happening.
I think Woody is trying to hold it together, but he cannot.

You can’t reverse course now…would make us look even more dumb. There were going to be ebbs and flows high and low, just have to weather the storm.
In my opinion, should have done a clean break or waited till the end of the season.

Coach O feeling the effect?
Coach O the cause?
No doubt snowballed into irrecoverable performance gaps. But down deep feels like a plague sourced from O leadership and culture
Time for fresh start

I know you will be DV'd to oblivion, but the buck stops here. He is the one who has all these coach's and SC people on staff, and in his grand plan, it has all failed, miserably.
But hey, "BEST WEEK OF PRACTICE EVER!"

This isn't just a horrible coincidence. While some are legitimately injured, there are some who apparently just either don't want to play for Orgeron/LSU anymore or they're thinking about their draft stock. Either way, the current culture at LSU sucks. The team is soft and there's a lot of this that is the result of using the "We're your ticket to the NFL" recruiting tactic.

I believe all except for Emery and Brennan were available for UCLA, correct?

Would be forgotten by November.
Woody is fricking up letting Ed hang around. Ed has WOody by the balls, or something. Full buyout and allowed to finish.
What a negotiating powerhouse. Woody is a glorified fundraiser at this point.

There’s no way they are all truly injured. This is the new form of opting out to try and save face. Prevent the backlash

Woody is letting everyone see just how bad it is under O. No one can come back and say “you fired him too soon after a natty” now. O destroyed this team in record time. Plus he can’t change course at this point. O checked out and now we’re seeing the ability of the crap staff he hired.

No.
1)He's doing the same thing right now, as he would be if O was gone.
2) Figure out and then what?

That would be incredibly stupid.

The day Ed signed his termination this became Woodies problem.
And it will continue if Ed is allowed to hang around.

To be fair, only about 10 or 11 of those are significantly better than the guys playing now. But 10 or 11 is still a big hit.

Agreed 100%

Look O checked out, so what little effort he was putting in isn’t happening anymore. Basically the staff, one of which would be the interim coach if Ed got kicked, is running things now anyway. It’s a no win situation because no one on our staff can do any better. And no SE doesn’t want to take a beating as the interim over the next four games.

They all played against UCLA and we saw how that turned out.
