It's funny how there were people who couldn't see what a put down of US the stupid "culture" and "fit" points were that were constantly being thrown out.

saturday night was why you shite can Ed

Think 2018 Bama, you had a lit up LSU crowd, Ed is punching himself in the face like the big dumb animal that he is, going ape shite...Team comes out with a horrid game plan and promptly gets its dicks kicked in, shutout at home.

Then you have this staff, while still at a talent disadvantage, is able to come up with an excellent game plan that at minimum gave our guys a shot to win it in the end and they came through.

Yup, and now hopefully we can move past Ed and enjoy being on the precipice of yet another golden age of LSU football.

while i agree 1000%, to be fair...our top 2 qbs didnt practice all week that game. ran the whole week with a 3rd stringer running the offense and the scout team

but a good coach would have adjusted teh game plan for that. Ed wasnt capable so your point still stands.

but really aside from the Burrow god mode year, Ed despite all of his chest pounding never posed a threat to Bama. They would come in with ultra conservative game plans and basically toy with the simpleton. It went from being an all out war to a let's just get out of here injury free and onto bigger things type game for them.

Ed Orgeron is an idiot and probably never should have been a HC. He would have been a great career DL coach and maybe recruiting coordinator. But damnit, that man lucked into assembling the greatest collection of coaches and players ever.

If he ever walked into my watering hole, I'd buy that millionaire a drink and talk 2019 with him for as long as he'd keep talking!

I'm glad his tenure was short, but I'm also glad he was given a shot...

Orgeron completely played not to get blown out in both of those games. He got away with it in 16 because Saban played it ultra safe with Hurts, then a freshman. We had zero shot to score once we missed the FG after the early int.

Got away with it for about a quarter in 18, then with a better Bama QB on the field than Hurts, got blown away

Said when we hired him we finally have a coach running the program and not a frat brother or circus clown.

My takeaway from that video was...

How did Ryan stay quiet for so long?
