Much like the first hurricane cone I’d rather then pair us up with an SEC team now because that’ll change in the next 48 hours

I think LSU could still be as high as the 3 seed. Depends on how the committee views it. LSU wins 7/10 SEC series. Was the only team to not be swept. Won the glorified rubber match against South Carolina. Then lost 2 close games in the tournament but showed a lot of improvement on the pitching side of things.

But I was told on here that the SECT didn’t matter.

The Rant keeps telling me that the Auburn, Miss State, UGA, and SECT games weren’t important and Jay was just auditioning guys for the postseason. There should be zero concern for the postseason because the hits with runners on base are due, and Jay knows exactly what bullpen pitcher to bring in during a tight game.

Bama & TN ahead of LSU in that poll is
ELO rankings is a chess formula that you can think of as who is hotter right now. UTk and Bama have both been playing better baseball than us as of late.

LSU is sub-.500 since the Auburn series. UTk is 15-6 since then and Bama is 10-4 since they played us and won all 3 SEC series and they played themselves into a regional host site.

This is not an Omaha team. The quicker people accept it the easier it will be to handle when they're bounced.

Auburn please. Sure that was the one out of those three who won a series against LSU but Auburn is a shitty team that benefited from a comedy of LSU hitting and mental errors while paying on the road. Alabama and Kentucky were very solid and threatening teams.

The first sentence is a distortion of the sentiment expressed here, but the rest that you say in an implied mocking tone is a reasonable interpretation of reality. Johnson WAS auditioning players for postseason. This team WAS good at driving in runners for most of the season. Johnson DOES have a better idea now of who he can trust in the bullpen. None of that is a guarantee of anything, but that sentiment cuts both ways.

The team paired with LSU’s regional isn’t winning their regional anyways so the convo is a moot point.

Wouldn't mind this at all but I doubt this is remotely true. I'd love to get revenge on Auburn and the regional sets up nicely for revenge there alongside a nice test for our bullpen.

I don't mind it but I highly doubt it's anything close to this tbh. Probably going to be easier than that.

Josh listed Alabama, Kentucky, and Auburn. Auburn is the one out of those three who won a series against LSU.

You almost got me on the internet, though.

Our bad base running will likely cost us at some point in the post season. Let’s not forget that one of the 3 hits yesterday in 20 at bats with runners in scoring position was a DOUBLE that didn’t score a runner from second base.

Our bad defensive positioning will lead to extended innings and more base runners for the opponents. Skenes induced a routine ground ball to the second baseman, but it tuned into an rbi single because apparently we expect a left handed batter to pull a 99 mph fastball that runs off the outside of the plate because Dugas was holding hands with Morgan at first base. (Serious, 3 straight fastballs on the outside black to the lefty hitter and we have Dugas playing 20 feet to the pull side of normal positioning). We had Jobert playing the shortstop position with our new favorite shift positioning.

Those things aren’t going to change in the next two weeks.
