Florida state and Texas A&m's baseball programs are so much more impressive than LSUs it's ridiculous

This was just a pitiful showing.

We looked like a big pile of shite tonight!

Correct. Skips teams were mentally tougher than anyone they played. He spent as much time coaching mentality as he did baseball. This team could use some psychological coaching.

Paul is moving this team in a good direction, hopefully he can turn it around in the post season.
I hate to break it to you, but this team will likely take a big step backward next year in terms of wins and losses. It will be a total rebuilding year on offense, and although the pitching will win some games, don't expect another Omaha run next year.
This was the year to win it all, and that chance won't come around again for at least a couple of years. But it ain't over yet!

We aren't on that track right now. I don't see why anyone would have confidence that Manieri can keep that pace with what we have seen in the postseason the last 5 years.
So what's your answer? Fire him? Seriously? You clean house with PM's resume and we'd be the laughing stock of college baseball. Seriously. No one would touch this program with that kind of knee-jerk response to our staff.

Agreed. The first flub by Poche just happened. The second was 100% NERVES. PM coaches nervous and today his team played nervous. It's not fair to compare a coach to the best of all time, but CPM can't carry Skip's jock.

When Nick Saban came to LSU, he said the fans had," catastrophe syndrome." I can't think of any better way of defining some in this fan base.
There are how many teams in this country, and how many make it to Omaha? And of those 8 teams that make it, all of those teams and fan bases want to win really bad. So it's almost comical that this fan base melts down so greatly in a loss.
Was it a poor performance, definitely. Is it the end of the world? No!
Can we come back? Yes. Will we? Who knows. All I know is that fans should have constructive criticism, but not totally melt down and abandon their teams when they fall.

Why? Seriously. Why? This team has proven over and over this year they are mentally tough. Have you watched the season? You're defining their toughness by one game? By the way, Skip also said playing the blame game is the national pastime of our nation. He was right about that too.

Poche has has history of losing his stuff in a hurry midgame. Should have had a good reliever warming in the 4th after they put up runs on hid errors. When he walks the lead off in the 5th on four pitches not close you pull him!! Coach let this game get out of hand. Worst case it would have been a nail biter of a game. He coaches the complete opposite of "taking one game at a time". It's all or nothing. We could have still won this game using Bugg and Person. Maybe Lange throws a complete game or close to it in game 2. Now we are in big trouble and confidence can't be high

IMO, the team still had a shot if PM hadn't switched up the rotation. The last time he did that Poche didn't get out of the 1st inning, IRC. Oh well, too late now.

baseball comes down to how good the teams are in your state. Other than LSU, no-one is really good in the Louisiana
LOL
UL says hi..
Nicholls says hi..
Southeaster says hi..
The poster is correct. Its all about $$$ for home games for LSU. Paul would NEVER schedule a 3 game series with UL for fear of losing the series at home..especially so early in the season.

I don't think Louisville would come here for a three game series.

joe, what could you possibly be trying to accomplish in here, as a hard core ULL fan in the losing game thread of LSU?
