Actually, they have done a decent job in recruiting. However, some of those guys never make campus due to getting drafted by MLB. NCAA needs to sit down with MLB and come to some kind of agreement.

He's been at LSU 9 years, and has 4 CWS appearances with 1 win to date in 3 of those.
2008: 0-2
2013: 0-2
2015: 0-1 so far
So outside of 2009, his teams (assuming a loss today) are 0-5. That is Smoke Laval level (0-4 at CWS in 6 years).
Again, this is disappointing but not unexpected giving Mainieri's history.

When I was at LSU, we typically couldn't even spell "big stage" much less play on it. Nearly all our programs are on it to some degree now. Perspective is needed on a day like this.
