The biggest lie ever peddled about McMahon on here. He's a terrible coach.

As far as OP goes, he'll be ok. Who gives a damn if people are bashing a coach making millions and not producing? Where was this same level of sympathy for someone like Nussmeier this past season? A guy who spent all 5 of his college years here and even passing on the draft to try and come back to help this team and who played injured this past year.

McMahon gets no sympathy from me. He was a terrible coach for us and I'll treat him as such, regardless of how nice he is. That might make me an a-hole, which I won't argue against.

I think hes a good mid major coach. I was excited for him but his lack of caring about the program and fan involvement has killed the program

To me it depends on what you consider is bashing. The reality is that he was bad. Thoughts revolving around that point are just truth. As far as character insults, obviously, he hasn’t done anything to warrant that, so sure, shame on those few. The handling of the situation by LSU seems less than ideal if you are looking at it from McMahon’s perspective. But the fact that he should be let go is obvious.

No one hates CoachMc.

But also no one has been gifted so much leeway for being terrible at his job while being paid well.

There was this one dude at Shell…

Being objective, he didn't have much talent to work with. None of his LSU guys made it to the NBA. Maybe he could've recruited better but I always heard the NIL support wasn't there for him.

He basically went into every SEC game with an inferior roster. Is that in dispute?

At Murray St. everyone talks about Ja Morant but in MM's best season there he went 31-3 without Morant.

All that said, he definitely needed to go and I'm fired up WW is back.

Lmao he’s a terrible coach who’s made millions sucking. Injuries happen to everyone.
If he had ZERO injuries this year we would’ve MAYBE won a few more sec games

Yeah I know. I’m pretty sure we agree. These soft arse emotional women are annoying as hell.
“He’s a good guy” “bad situation “

Shut the frick up (them not you). This is a sports board for LSU’s sports. No one is calling him a bad person. None of that matters and anyone who’s not an emotional 13 year old girl doesn’t give a shite. He’s a BAD coach and that’s all that matters

He's a good dude. Never will forget how excited he was seeing LSU people waiting for him after the A&M game at CStat in 2024. With that said he had little to no success here and it's for the best that he goes.

Excited to see The General again
