If you polled the top 100 TAF contributors, 99 of them would say "fire Crowton"! The fact that it appears Crowton is staying shows you exactly how much power these guys actually have i.e none, although they'll tell you they control LSU. Les has consolidated all the power due to a weak administration. All we can do is sit and watch it all go to hell!

Did you not hear that Miles had full control over coaching changes.

You're right. He needs to be told that anything less than an SEC West championship next year is unacceptable. Accomplish that the best way you know how. The minute anyone other than the HC starts meddling in decisions the HC should be making, all hell breaks loose. Once Miles gives in to Alleva or anyone else, it's over...he's lost control.

If he thinks his best chance next year is keeping Crowton, then he should keep Crowton. But he better produce.

It would be equally disastrous if you had TAF jumping in and asserting its will except for the most extreme circumstances.

I support a move. But, I don't want that decision made by TAF.

Miles has absolute power. This constant crying and whining about Miles getting his feelings hurt is ridiculous. Dude makes top level money and we were 5, 3, and 2 games from a tie in the SEC West Division the last 3 years. Les has 4 years left on an extremely fat contract and they have people making him out to be some kind of victim.

it's hard to figure out his motive...he pulled this with co-defensive coordinators, so, let's hope he's just trying to keep Crowtons stock high in hopes that he gets another gig...we all thought we would be stuck w/those co-def coord. again, so let's see what happens

If 99top taf supporters ran the hiring and firing of coaches we would be in a world of shite.

OMG TAF DOESN'T SELECT OUR COACHES. I'm so angry a fundraising organization that builds facilities isn't charged with hiring our football staff, because who knows more about the coaching circles than guys that have nothing to do with football but their money and fandom.

You want TAF to have the power to make decisions a head coach should make?

By our boosters? You know what turns other coaches away even more than the stupidity of our fanbase? When schools have boosters running the show and not allowing the people we hire to either succeed or fail on their own accord. People on this board never think about the money aspect, and they think the best coordinator available not only wants to come here, but he wants to drop everything, get on a plane yesterday, start looking for houses in U-Club, and start work at LSU tomorrow. It doesn't work that way. What works that way? Nothing.

Yes, you have way more pull than TAF.

Miles is the bus driver and you shouldn't be yelling instructions when you don't know even know how to drive. You kids need to sit down, stfu, and enjoy the ride.

I'm really hoping it's like 2008. Miles isn't going to fire Crowton, but hopefully is steering him towards a HC position at a lesser school.

i took this as Alleva saying to Miles: "you better fix this problem, or you will be the one gone."

I took it as maybe the rumors about Miles wanting to get rid of Crowton last but was overruled were true. And now the AD is basically saying "We fricked up....do what you want."

TAF should have no control over personnel decisions. The day a booster organization begins to pull the strings, you've lost your program.
