I was at the game tonight. I see the point of those mentioning that it was quiet but the crowd did into the game in spurts during some big moments. To me the difference is that we are completely quiet while we are on defense.

How do we get this changed? We need some sort of constant “ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh” going while we are playing defense. It is literally half the battle of creating crowd noise. I’m frustrated, this team deserves better.

I tried alone. It probably won't even happen for a ranked match-up with UK

Move the students behind the basket and as far away from the action as possible and this is the end result. Students should have the first 5 rows around the entire court

We’re 7-0 in conference. We completely dominated what was the 3rd ranked team in conference from start to finish tonight, and that is your comment. Can’t ever make some people happy.

Back to the crowd noise frustration, I just feel like Wade or someone else within the coaching staff should say something at this point. Maybe it’s a bad idea, but something needs to be done or at least attempted.

So give the students the best seats in the house? LSU students get in free and still dont show up for the games. It's one of the reasons the students were moved to where they are now.

Try again.

bullshite, when you clowns start showing up consistently and making noise then maybe some things will change. why would they put a bunch of docile millennials who play on their iPhones all game long instead of premium paying customers?

Change starts with you

The hard truth is that our fans suck when they haven’t tailgated and are drunk. We need to create a culture of tailgating before games or some way to get hammered before they go into the Pmac. Otherwise I guess it’s perceived as embarrassing to get loud when everyone is sober

Well as of now I'd say the average age of the people in those seats is around 60 and they make zero noise...

The major problem with our crowd is our students. This season, they have been absent and not imposing when present.

I am hoping for better as we continue further into SEC season.

Michigan State does it best, whiteout every game for students. best seats in the house around the court. You can still have the court side seats for the rich folks. And have open enrollment for the 200 level seats.

In the end, I don’t think this will ever happen unless we renovate or build a new arena

That’s not a whole lot less than students. Other than when they try to do neck to every song the band plays that is.

This is probably true. For that reason I think 8 PM games could be louder.

It seemed like everyone was drunk for Tennessee at 11 AM last year though so

I stood up in my section during the Florida game during a big moment on defense trying to urge the crowd to stand and cheer.

No one joined me.
