The hard truth is that our fans suck when they haven’t tailgated and are drunk

The other thing is, and I’m careful not to chastise because those people paid for their tix just like I did. But, walking back to my truck last night, I was behind 3 different people either on scooters or walking with walkers. There really is an elderly element to the PMAC and it obviously has an effect. Just an observation.

Basketball school’s don’t happen overnight. Here, we’re coming off a football National Championship and to be honest, we don’t have a unique basketball culture. Can feel it coming though.

LSU fans cheers for LSU. They don’t make noise on defense but maybe once or twice a year. It’s almost like it’s a baseball crowd.

I'm a recent grad, but I sit in the student section using my GFs student tickets. I agree it seems like more of a social affair at times to me. I was a Freshman Ben Simmons year so I have the gauntlet of with the program, and now that we are good I would like to see the SS get more into the game. But it seems like more of a social affair thhan creating any type of environment to me. I enjoy getting into the games like football, but it feels weird standing up and ouuuuuuing when everyone else is sitting down. Its's still early, but the only time Ive seen it any different this year was the last ten minutes of the Florida game. Last season towards the end up the season it would get jam packed with students standing and getting into the game, so I hope that'll happen as more games go by.

I compared it earlier to the football games, and a lot of that environment has to do with being liquored up. I dont think students drink as much if not all going into the games. Last year I would get drunk before every game, and it felt like I was the one. To set the tone I feel like you need some tore up frat boys with everyone behind following suit, but its the eeirdos sitting up front setting the tone, and when everyone is in front of you sitting down it is easyh to follow suit.

Isn't communication on defense VERY IMPORTANT? how does crowd noise help THAT?
