Skenes is a better pitcher now than when he was with AF. I would like to see him throw against Crews and White.

I’d pay a lot to see Crews versus Skenes. Oh well, guess we just have to wait two years to watch them in the majors

He was also throwing 7-8mph less on his fastball.

Skenes started at First in game 1 going 0-4 with 3 Ks. Started at Catcher game 2 went 0-4 with 2 Ks. He pitched the last inning of game 2 giving up a homer to Crews on a 96 mph fastball but got the save. Ty Floyd received the loss in game 2.

His first homerun.

Edit: can't testify, but saw the dual interview early on in season and I'm almost certain not only that but something was said about Crews going 1.1 ....way back then ( vs. Air force Crews freshman yr.)

As good as Crews is, I think Skenes would win that battle quite a few times.

And…. Crews is a better hitter now than he was as a freshman.

It was a great hit by a fantastic freshman against another fabulous freshman.

They faced off quite a lot in preseason and according to Skenes Crews more than handled his own.

Bregman said that in the tweet reply to the HR posted on Twitter. Called it way back then

Imagine over a summer in MLB Crews faces Skenes 10 times. The first 5 times, Skenes gets 5 k's. We think Skenes is the topper. However, the next 5 times Crews gets 5 hits and after 10 ab's against Skenes, Crews is batting .500.

Now who is the topper? That's baseball!!
