Wait, the Nats took him #2 overall due primarily to his offensive production (swing) and immediately tried to change his production due to preemptively thinking it wasn’t going to work, only for them to ask him to go back to what made him great to begin with? What a shite show of a development program.

The Nationals have one of, if not the worst, development departments in the MLB.

There's a reason they're picking Top 5 almost every year.

.258 in the majors would be a pretty good mark.

Crews isn't a bust per say, but wood was a late 2nd rounder out of hs and is better and younger.

Jury is def still out on that and he’s def leaning to the bust side. Hope he gets it figured out. He’s only getting called up because Young got injured. Y’all act like he went down to AAA and just started tearing the cover off the ball. He’s hitting .290 in the month of May with a 25% K rate. He’s not there yet. Guess we’ll see

This is a coincidence not the reason he was called up. He has drastically improved the last few months after a slow start. He is making harder contact than he was before. Which was one of the reasons he was placed in AAA to start.

Nationals were the worst of the 3 teams for him to have gone to. I said in ‘23 he would be best suited going to the Rangers out of the top 3.

can the ones who downvoted Belle and Walker were better than Crews explain themselves. Too young to know who they were? just stupid when it comes to baseball? Belle had the most RBI's in the decade of the 90's in MLB

Yea, but he started off really slow. He's hitting .291 in the month of May.

Not in Tiger uniforms. Walker is very close though. Belle obviously had a far better pro career.

Walker was a career .396 hitter with 50 more rbis in almost same number of abs. If the question was what hitter would you want at the plate in a clutch situation to win a game for LSU it would have to be Walker.
