Well put. I hope they learn from this, just like I learned from making wrong choices when I was their age.

nice sentiment but wrong. if you were one of the walk-on players busting his arse every day with a slim hope that you would one day get a chance to walk on to the turf at Tiger Stadium during a live play (his "cup of coffee"), you might be justified in the anger that Crash displayed toward Nuke. But as a bunch of beer swilling, never were's wiping greasy fingers on their shirts at tailgates before the game yelling about how these kids have disrespected them as fans, Crash would more likely give you the same reaction as the bat-boy, "Shut up."

And another thought...
I like the way Miles supported and tried to work with RP back in 2007. It's just sad that RP didn't learn from the bad decisions he made with the support of his coach. I hope these three young men learn from this and grow...not just to get the opportunity to play football, but to succeed in life.

Well, I believe in the soul, the cock, the pussy, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.

How many of us would give anything to be blessed with the talent or opportunities of these three young men? To be so short-sighted, arrogant or simply impulsive as to not realize or care about the consequences of their actions, indicates that they don't respect the game, their teammates, the fans, or the institution they represent.
Who here didn't piss away some talent they had? They don't owe you a fricking thing either. Respect the game...WTF? It's football, it's no one else's fault you are a dumb arse super fan that has nothing else to live for. They're kids, and they did things kids do. You're an adult, do things adults do (now's a good time to start anyway).

to me it is not about so much what they did, but the let down to their team, their school and then the fans. The fans being the least impacted. Sure we would all like to see these guys play and they are impact players, but their lack of pride that they show is what bothers me most. The season isn't THAT long, if you are going to do that kind of stuff wait until the offseason. Who cares that they smoked fake weed, I know plenty of adults that will still smoke the real stuff, but while preparing for a national championship run this is not the kind of distraction that the team needs. Now the media is going to be asking everyone on the team about how they feel about the weed rather than the game that they are fixing to play against Auburn. I think we should all be thankful that Auburn is having a down year and that the players are only going to miss one game.

When it comes down to it, the ones these three guys are hurting the most is themselves. The team will survive. Everyone can be replaced as far as the team goes. I wish the best for them that they'll grow up some through this and learn from this experience.

LSU fans sure do know how to overreact
you sat here day after day and week after week and made one excuse after the other for JJ during his fiasco and you continue to do it with these three players.
I really dont get your type.
Its almost as if you dont care what the players do.
You'll sit here and make excuses and justify anything they do, regardless of the consequences it has or the negative effect it has on the team.
Its all an over fricking reaction by the fans huh? Really not that big of a deal.. nothing is really that big of a deal.

Christ people get off your high horses! Yes, it was stupid. Yes it was wrong. Now cry me a fkn river. Quit worshiping these kids, and yes I said kids, and get your priorities straight.

BS. Most, or at least many of us, did have the opportunity and we wasted it. If you are over 5'10 200 lbs plus generally healthy you could have played SOMEWHERE if you REALLY wanted to. Maybe not LSU but you could have walked on at ULL or some Juco.
Sure, these guys in particular are much more talented then you and me but look at Stampley as a great example of someone who simply wanted it bad enough to make happen.
But I will agree, many players don't respect the game like we do. Plenty of guys playing D1, even pro's don't love it. They'd rather be in the NBA or be entertainers/club owners whatever. It's part of the reason why so many flame out. It's one reason why I think Timmy Tebow WILL be successful eventually. This will never change.

i do care what the players do to a certain extent....i just don't think a barfight and smoking a little weed is that big of a deal. they broke the rules, they paid/will pay for it, move the frick on.
ofcourse...i don't ride around here on a high horse acting like i never did some stupid shite when i was younger either. maybe thats why im not so quick to pass judgement.

But you know what, I thought he cared about his team. At least enough to do what's right during the season. Wrong! So he's dropped in my estimation; a young man who has real self-control and priority issues to work on.
getting suspended for being ignorant before the Auburn game....
